I'm so excited that my yarn finally got here, and I can start work on this! I know it's a lot of work for you to do video tutorials for us, but they are so very helpful for people like me who are pretty new to crochet (16 months). It's a comfort to feel like you're helping me through each step. Your patterns are so detailed, and I love that you provide us with lots of photos. The sleeve options are brilliant. Thank you so much for all you do!
Excellent tutorial!. I will try making it but longer as I don't like my knees showing. Also I think a lining is a good idea so you don't show what you don't want to show.
I love this. So beautiful and with a perfect drape. Many of the others being made, though beautiful, are being made with stiffer yarns so they don't have the drape. I love that this dress is so easy for even beginners to do to have a really fun quick trendy piece.
Hannah.. this dress is beautiful!! I will have to add it to my list of things to make when I finish my CAL items! I love that you give a short sleeve option too!! 💜
Hello - Not sure of any variegated yarn. But a Worsted cotton or acrylic would work well. You can always ask on the HanJan Community Facebook group too - to see if anyone else has tried a different yarn. Thank you
Hi, I may be making this way harder than it needs to be! I’m having trouble understanding the neckline measurements. I have made my dress longer, 38”. I was thinking it would work to go from the 31” that you made in the pattern and put the stitch markers at 22 and 29 as stated in the pattern. My question is, should the neckline be the same on the front and the back? I was thinking they would be. I’m assuming the 29 stitch marker is the back, is it meant to be set at the neckline?
So glad you are making it longer! I offset the neckline so that it’s slightly lower at the front than the back. So you’ll need to skip less for the back which will be the first stitch marker you put in. But you can make it central if you like and just have the stitch markers 7 apart as in pattern.
Hello! This is so beautiful. Does the purchasable pattern include measurements for each piece? I am using a different weight yarn and therefore cannot follow stitch count. Based on your gauge, I believe that makes the front panel for this medium size dress approximately 24.5 inches (or about 62 cm). ? Thanks!
So sorry you feel that way. The video is meant to accompany the written pattern rather than to use on its own without it. You can find the pattern on my blog or in stores in sizes XS to 5XL 😊
I've done your franny granny sweater and granny dress, love them
Ah that's so lovely to hear! 😊
A matching bag would be really great, too!
The dress is gorgeous and your an excellent teacher.

wear a slip. yoga leggins are good to hid legs
@@nycbklynrmp I have some little shorts I wear under dresses. But a slip will be added to cover my chest too. Granny stitch has a lot of small holes.
! I love how it looks. Your use of colors is 3xcellenzt!
TU so much for demonstration of the crocheted dress.❤❤❤

That’s, great. Thank you, so much.
You're very welcome!

It’s beautiful, can you recommend any variegated yarn for this project.

❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤very nice😊
Buenos dias tejes muy bonito pero por favor pon subtitulos en español
Thank you - you should be able to turn your You Tube subtitles to Spanish on you TH-cam tool bar.
Can you make this in all one color. Will it be the same amount of yarn? I bought your pattern. Excited to make.
Yes - the same amount of yarn. Look forward to seeing it!
Thank you
What US dress size would an XL be? Does this run true to size? Beautiful, thank you!
An XL is a 44-46" bust - I hope that helps!
Can, I use a DK yarn, to make this, beautiful dress?
Yes, absolutely! As long as you meet the gauge, then DK will work wonderfully!
Hi. Do you think it would work with a cotton bulky#5 yarn?
It’ll definitely work if you’re going for warmth but it will not drape well.
Try and gauge swatch and see if you can match the gauge. You'll also then be able to see if it drapes well!

The pattern includes a schematic for all the finished sizes and they are all 31" long :)
Lovely dress
🙌👍👍👍
Aww I arrived too late.
lovely to have you here!
If I want long sleeves, can i just extend the short sleeve length rather than adding a separate drop sleeve?
Definitely! You can just join your yarn into the armhole and work round that way if you prefer!
What other yarn can be used? A 4 weight acrylic?
A weight acrylic would work great! I discuss some alternatives in the blogpost: www.hanjancrochet.com/crochet-granny-dress/
How many materials did you use for a small & medium size dress 👗?
Hi, all of the details are in the blogpost here: www.hanjancrochet.com/crochet-granny-dress/
I want a lighter yarn I will use a 3mm hook ,what do i change ?
That would be a completely different pattern so you’ll have to figure out the multiples of 4 from your gauge swatch 😊
Very good tutorial…but all those ends are driving me crazy
,
Oops k found it.
I dont find the pattern on the blog.
It’s coming soon! 😊
Keşke Türkçe çeviri de olsa ve abone olsam🥲
You can watch with closed captions in Turkish 🙂
Traducción en español por favor.😢
I could not find the yarn, yardage, and hook size.
Click "more" below the title. Yarn & yarn amounts are listed according to dress size required. Match your hook to your yarn 👍
