Generally, we aren't too particular on brand. However, these clear titan shield sleeves are pretty good and will work for most standard card sizes: amzn.to/3Z8kHgX If you need specific size sleeves for your game, going to boardgamegeek.com and search for the particular game. There should be a button for most games that says Sleeve It. This will tell you the precise size of the sleeves you want for the game as well as how many.
I personally use GameGenic Matte. There is no real standard, but I'd say 60% of games use the 'Standard Card Game' size (using GameGenic's vernacular). 66 x 91mm. Other common sizes are Standard American, Standard European, Mini-American, and Mini-European.
I'd like to add Wandering Towers as being a fantastic game to play with non-board gamers to get them into the hobby. Had a great time with it on Thanksgiving with a table full of non-gamers.
Unfortunately from when we recorded the episode to when we were able to get it released there was a bit of a delay. Our December episode will be back out on schedule for the audio show.
What brand of card sleeves do you recommend and why? What measurements do you consider “standard” ?

Wandering Towers is a great game. We've played it at least a dozen times now. All those plays, and we actually don't own a copy!
