My brother bought me an engraved Tank Basculante in 2001 as a memorial gift two weeks before he died.... I absolutely love it.. so unique and personal to me. Thank you for teaching me about its history. ❤
Never fails - you always learn something watching these videos. I assumed JLC and Cartier were competitors given the similarities. Really interesting to learn about the collaboration.
Mark, I love you for doing this series and I hate you for picking this watch to feature! This is near the top of my want list right now and you've gone and stirred up competitive interest! I'll never get the great deal I've been searching for if you keep this up!
Cheers Mark mate as ever!! The way you link these histories together is easy to understand, I fear one day I will make a beautifully well informed watch comment and ruin another dinner party!!! Instead of my drinking too much wine option of achieving said goal!! 👍🥂🥃
I really love Cartier watches. My Santos de Cartier may very well be my favorite watch in my collection. And that speaks volumes as the owner of a bunch of high-end pieces from brands such as Rolex, Omega, JLC…..and even Patek, AP, and ALS!
Every time someone asks me for watch recommendations I will include a Santos, no matter what kind of watch they are looking for. A Santos can be a one watch collection in itself -Mark
Mark I recently saw your Cartier diver and I’ve changed my whole watch thing. I’m going to get the diver a tank manual wind and a Pasha chronograph. Could you look at the Pasha?
Fantastic video. I am now adding this to my list.

Excellent! Always informative without being a dry lecture.

Please do a review on the Cartier Santos Carree. Tks.

Good luck on the hunt for one, they are beautiful but unfortunately uncommon watches, really wish Cartier made them more often -Mark
Everytime I watch these videos, I feel like I’ve learned an entire book’s worth of information
Fantastic, that means I did my job (well as long as it wasn't boring) -Mark

Always love these videos. One on the Cartier Santos Ronde would be amazing!
The round one or the octagon? -Mark
Now that is a hidden gem. Awesome video, excellent content. Thanks.
Beautiful review for a beautiful watch. Class.

Love that Cartier ! Great video 👍🏻
What size is the cartier Basculante shown in the video ? Is it 32x22?

Pasha is the overlooked Gerald Genta watch, would be worth a video -Mark
Excellent historical piece
Amazing video!
Great info, thanks!
Yes! I adore the Basculante so it's amazing to see it getting some love!😍
So when is this, or any tank becoming part of your collection? -Mark
@@CrownandCaliber I think it might be next on the list! I'm enjoying Cartier more and more!
Took me two years to find mine and by the universe I found it locally. Such a stunning and unique watch.
That is some good watch hunting and great taste if this is the kind of watch you hunt for -Mark
This is a stunning watch
Beautiful watch!
Hey Mark, where did Luca go?
🥃Cheers to all!✌🏽👍🏽
You do realize that the photo you showed was not of the Tank Guichet, right?
Hey good catch! We removed the image to avoid any confusion. Though, while we're on the subject- you're not the real AP, are you?
@@CrownandCaliber Sorry for sounding a bit sarcastic with the initial comment. It was not intended as such.
ummm that is not a Tank a Guichet. Wrong photo
Hey good catch! We removed the image to avoid any confusion.
Inspired me to sell my Basculante to someone who will actually wear it.
I think that is a good move, if you no longer love it let someone else enjoy it and find something new -Mark
You scratch my back i scratch yours
How about Oysterquartz? Not many made and like rolex does, very over engineered. Still, not very desired.
The entire BETA 21 program that came out of is some interesting Swiss watchmaking history -Mark
Reverso’s mécanisme is way more reliable than basculante I believe
