I learn about 6 or 7 new MVs to wishlist everytime you release one of these videos 😅 Thank you seeker for showcasing so many cool games, and extra thanks for including Rat Trap :)
Oh sweet, Kraino Rebirth! Had its kickstarter a while ago and while it didn't have the optional goals funded, i'm glad it had its funding normally. Would be interested in NPCs with sidequests. Hope it will do well. Aside from Kraino, i've still mainly got the future updates/DLC for Cookie Cutter in my sights. Lead dev has been saying the porting to consoles (or at least to Switch) is nearing its end . Consoles will have more content than the Steam version... for a while. After that, it's back to work on more areas, bosses, NPCs, sidequests, weapons, story beats, etc.
@@jurtheorc8117 It's been quite some time since I played it, I think I was about three to four hours into the game. I remember enjoying it a lot, though the main character's personality was a bit off-putting at times (I specifically recall the scene where she finds someone dying from some sort of alien disease and being very indifferent and condescending about it, though I also understand that she is quite wrathful and disenchanted based on what has happened to her up to that point). I'll be returning to it to make a proper review, since I loved its visuals and world as well as its combat, though I also remember using a very specific combo constantly that I felt was overpowered, so I didn't experiment with battle that much.
@@soulsborneseeker Thank you for answering! I'm glad to hear that you were enjoying it so far :) I can definitely understand why Cherry's attitude would be off-putting. I had that with CC in general when i first saw Alpha Beta Gamer's demo video of it. And some promotional stuff afterwards. In the end though, i think i got a thicker skin against that and there's some 'm glad i stuck through in full and am excited for more. Regarding Toshibo and that K-Breed disease, i would have hoped there was an option to mercy kill him too. What i appreciate is that Cherry's balanced out with Regina, and she's not treated as being in the right for having that attitude. Characters react to Cherry in their own way-- like Poppah and Raz. (if you were four hours in, i assume you had already met Poppah in the area to the right of the Hidden Diner.) It's already established Raz and Cherry have a friendship, so they can take each other's ribbing and jabs in good humor. But Raz does make some limits firmly clear. I'm glad that Raz's there at the start of the game, to already show that the wrath and moodiness isn't all there is to Cherry. Thanks to said joking/banter between them. And at the (current)end of the game he and Cherry have a very strong moment together. Poppah himself makes a grouchy impression and isn't amused by Cherry's rudeness, but does express gladness to finally be able to speak to someone else in the situation he's in. He's got a few optional dialogue options too. From a personality-based standpoint, there is probably some level of care/interest/amiability with Cherry. Else there wouldn't be the option to ask this stranger about parts of his life and the area & its history. I'll not spoil other characters. I can speak of the characters in all manner of ways, but it's up to you to encounter them first and form your own thoughts. As for the specific combo: Don't think in terms of what's most effective, but what's most amusing for you. There will be more weapons and options. In combat, they are not strictly necessary (though battles can get tough) but you have the option to use them-- and see in what ways you can turn the enemies into a toy. The second weapon was my favourite to use. Depending on how long ago you played, there may be a number of changes/updates to CC. Wish you a lot of fun when you do continue, and hope you'll be interested too for what's to come :) I'll keep on spreading the word on CC where i can. I know there's people that *really* don't resonate with it, sometimes to a very rude degree, but also people that very strongly resonate with it. And i'll be glad for more people to resonate with it like that.
@@jurtheorc8117 Oh, don't get me wrong, the game itself is awesome! Visuals, world-building, secrets, combat, gory-goodness, it's all right up my alley :D I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future content!
first gal guardians wasnt a metroidvania... anyway, cooI list, I added some games to my wishlist, for those curious: kraino rebirth, rat trap and tearescape have demos on steam.
@@soulsborneseeker the reason I mentioned gal guardians not being a metroidvania is because people thought at first that it was one, it even had the metroidvania tag
I saw a clip of an upcoming game called Pump Daddy where you explore a vast and interconnected Hollywood party, attempting to survive the night and avoid getting drugged and getting ur cheeks clapped by dawn by an infamous antagonist out for some lovin. A metroidvania with survival horror elements
@soulsborneseeker seems haard game and very lenght you know have acessibilitaty ? I am too old for hard games lol.. voidrought i saw a lets play good game best than astral awaken .and weird dream played? Noreya i am playing seems good and not long hard. Thanks
@@soulsborneseeker you remember a black white promising metroidvania? Was public around 3 years ago and dissapear was more in igavania like. Not meifunado..
@@EduardoAraujo-fs2hh So far, Prince of Persia is the one I consider the best, though I will be playing Nine Sols and Animal Well soon, so my opinion might change!
Already knew about emberbane and lone fungus melody of spores as well as kraino rebirth, however this last one seems to have improved A LOT from when i last saw it! Inayah life after gods and xplorite are new to me though and immediately impressed me so i added them to my wishlist! Thanks for giving me a heads up on those seeker! The other ones either looked to cheap/ugly or too anime for my liking. I also like fantasy and melee based MV's over scifi ranged ones (although i do like ghost song, metroid and the upcoming moadra a lot). But my prefference lies in things like ori, blasphemous, the last faith, etc... Not necesarily soulslikes but often they are. Speaking of soulslikes I'm finishing up skelethrone right now which has been VERY difficult. I'm at the last few bosses now and will try for a bit if i can beat them. Otherwise it wouldn't be the first MV i quit at the final boss (at least i explored the full map then so i don't mind as much although i prefer to beat the game proper) I don't want to spend too much more time on it as i already have 16 hours and still need to play lots more. I'm looking to play venture to the vile next. I know most people didn't like it but i hope it's all patched up by now, benefit of waiting a long time before playing :)
Glad you found some new games for the wishlist! As for Kraino ReBirth, it not only came a long way but, as far as I remember, it wasn't meant to be a metroidvania initially before it surprised everyone with its Kickstarter stating that it would follow the MV route. I can't overstate how much I'm looking forward to it! As for Venture to the Vile, I know many people found it mediocre but I personally enjoyed it immensely!
@soulsborneseeker yeah so i gave up on skelethrone haha. I can beat final boss phase one but it takes a few minutes because i have to play very safe (boss has near instant attacks so i gotta wait for openings). As soon as phase 2 starts i'm dead within a minute lol. It was fun for the most part and i would recommend it to most people. It has an easy difficulty which i should have picked at the start but once it got hard i was already 7 hrs in and didn't wanna restart. So yeah i played like 90% of the game and explored the full map only missing the final boss and a few optional ones that are missable. Impressive game for a solo developer tbh. Venture to the vile is installed now and ready to go so expect to hear my thoughts on it in your review's comment sections either tomorrow or the day after depending on how long it takes me .
@@d00mnoodle24 Looking forward to your take on Venture to the Vile! I'll also be playing Skelethrone in the next few days, I'm kind of pumped now that you mentioned it's difficulty!
Did any of the games on this list catch your eye?

Can't wait to play it! For some reason it hits me with Pinky and the Brain vibes, even though they are definitely different in theme :D
I can't wait for Emberbane it looks sooooo good.
It truly does! It's movement looks incredibly fun and fluid, and its combat is extremely promising!
I backed Emberbane, Kraino ReBirth, and Lone Fungus: Melody of Spores on Kickstarter.
All three look top tier! Let's hope they live up to the hype!
Did lone fungus make it? i thought the goal wasn't reached
@d00mnoodle24 The first Kickstarter failed, but the second one running right now looks like it's going to make it!
Thanks you for all the console coverage this time around! Lots of interesting stuff here!
Ahahaha, indeed, many more games with console releases than usual this time around! Glad you enjoyed the video!
inayah , lone fungus and emberbane are my picks
Solid choices!
Bioframe Outpost sounds absolutely fascinating
Agreed! I'm always intrigued by MVs with a focus on tactical thinking and puzzle solving, and this is one of them!
Amazing vídeo! I'm so exciting for these games ❤❤❤🎉
Thank you, glad you liked the games!
Rat Traps seems promising and fresh idea for Metroidvania.
Indeed! I think its mech-suit mechanic is very interesting!
Xplorite looks really good
It really does! I also liked the music in its trailer!
