Tennessee is a beautiful state, been there several times with the military. I was in Chattanooga the last time and stayed at the Choo -Choo. There was an incline railway and some other neat things to see.

Have spent many hours walking and swimming here over the years. Now it is all fenced off for security reasons. Beautiful area.

Really cool Tom about the ice. My father used to have horse's and would be hired to take sleds of ice from the Hudson river the ice house in winter time. He was a farmer by day and worked at Western printing at night. 7 kids so it was probably a good thing. Love your knowledge and history of the area

Thank You. I wish I knew where the ice house was on my place, I did find a couple ice tools, tongs and a fork to break apart the squares in the water. I’m #6 of 7, and remember Dad having several jobs too
