Thank you! I want to eventually put all of these deleted scenes into the movie creating a super cut. let me know if you want it after I make it, and ill give it to you
I’m glad they bleeped this out. The kids are two little brats, Derek is insufferable and Alice is suppressed by her family’s behavior even when she tries to defend Brennan. This was pretty uncomfortable
Adam Scott is probably a douchebag in real life. Did you ever notice he always plays the douchebag character? That’s not acting, it’s just him being himself.
As funny as it is, I can see why they deleted it, because it’s genuinely sad how Alice behaves here, and they probably felt that it would make it a little less funny later on.
I agree, but at the same time, it would have explained why she cheated on him with Dale. It was hilarious the way Dale comes back a minute after he stormed out and said "So, just because Bonita fish are big, doesn't mean they automatically make a trophy"
I know lol funiest part is hes so in awe of Derek and yet when his boat smashes on screen and hes emotionally suffering at it, Derek is fucking cheering in the back XD
That’s what I said about Owen Wilson’s Character In A Deleted Scene Of Meet The Parents When He Called Ben Stillera Character A Nobody That’s When I Was Entirely Happy When His Wedding wood Creation Caught On Fire
I see they had to delete this scene cause its changes the whole POV of the funny movie. how alice is sadly in a horrible relationship with this jerk of a man. Who mentally abuses her, the kids are completely disrespectful toward the mom. Robert pretty much made dale the resentful person he became. This scene alone makes the whole movie not funny anymore.
I felt sorry for Robert when his boat was destroyed but his enabling of Derek - even giving him ammo like the unemployed revelation makes me think he is just as much of a snob.
I know this is satirical but the older I get the sadder I become knowing that people like this really do exist including the children and I’ve seen it first hand.
So the dad, after witnessing how these kids talk about their own uncle, decides to overly-familiarly humiliate his own son like this with this unemployed revelation and give them and their father even more ammo, like WTF, did he not see it coming or is he just an insensitive parent?
It shows why she wants Dale: he is simple, overgrown child. And she tries to fill the void she has with her sparkling, but really shitty life: her husband is a snob who disrespects her, toxic children, no one to talk to her. She is a depressed woman who wants innocence and childish athmosphere
Derek encourages his kids to be snobs. Instead of recognizing how obnoxious Derek is towards his son and stepson, Robert actively laughs along with him and therefore enables his behavior. Alice is clearly trapped in this unloving relationship. As funny as Stepbrothers is, all these components actually make this scene a little depressing and I can see why it was cut.
At least this Derek became a successful helicopter salesman. The one I know only feels superior because his large family only look after themselves and produce spoiled brats who are ENTITLED.

Sheesh you think this is depressing? Spend a week in Denver and see the elitist couples here that married into money thinking it would solve all their problems and they’re divorced within 5 years tops.
"That's not funny."
"No, I know, its SICK!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
your underrated not gonna lie and the quality is hands down sick

@@masusockvevo5401 Sounds good
The outtakes deleted scene were so much funny lol.
This scene was funny when the little girl says “eff you Dale!” And when Dale comes back and talks about the trophy fish.
I'm so glad that this was taken out
I’m glad they bleeped this out. The kids are two little brats, Derek is insufferable and Alice is suppressed by her family’s behavior even when she tries to defend Brennan. This was pretty uncomfortable
Adam Scott is a very impressive actor. He can play anything from a super nerdy, considerate person to a total @ssh0le, and everything in between.
Decent versatility.
Adam Scott is probably a douchebag in real life. Did you ever notice he always plays the douchebag character? That’s not acting, it’s just him being himself.
Derek is everything wrong with Homeowners Associations in California.
As funny as it is, I can see why they deleted it, because it’s genuinely sad how Alice behaves here, and they probably felt that it would make it a little less funny later on.
Yeah sheesh very depressing
I agree, but at the same time, it would have explained why she cheated on him with Dale. It was hilarious the way Dale comes back a minute after he stormed out and said "So, just because Bonita fish are big, doesn't mean they automatically make a trophy"
I don’t think it was deleted because i saw the same scene in tv
They did push the envelope with this scene 😂😂😂😂😂
Behaves? What a dumb word to use in this context.
I agree with most commenters. The bit with Alice changes the whole tone of the film. Glad they left it on the cutting room floor!
After watching this deleted scene, i dont feel bad for the old man, they wrecked his boat.
I know lol funiest part is hes so in awe of Derek and yet when his boat smashes on screen and hes emotionally suffering at it, Derek is fucking cheering in the back XD

There are deleted scenes like at Christmas where I feel sorry for the mom
Derek's kids are gonna get shot one day🤣🤣🤣
Sad thing is, they wont.
@@HuntEthicalI know right 😂
That's exactly what I was thinking
1:22 Freak you! Daaad!😂😂😂😂😂
Derek's daughter: my mom can do a hundred crunches if she takes the right pills
:O :D

No wonder Alice wanted Dale more so badly
Yeah I feel like this scene is kinda dark and serious in a way
I hate how Derek’s kids talk bad about their uncle.
Yeah. He doesn't even make $35K a year....
Well in all fairness, he is a bum and not a good role model for them so it's perfectly understandable.
@russkate88 valid, but still, these kids should learn a little bit manner
@@princelevi3733 thank you.
Such an awkward vibe dinner party.
Tiffany violated Dale 🤣
They should’ve kept this scene in. It shows how Dale’s anger towards Derek starts, and another case of Derek being a total douche to his wife
I felt sorry for Robert when his boat was destroyed but his enabling of Derek - even giving him ammo like the unemployed revelation makes me think he is just as much of a snob.

I Can’t Stand The Children Either Some Father Robert Is
1:22 is so funny
So the dad, after witnessing how these kids talk about their own uncle, decides to overly-familiarly humiliate his own son like this with this unemployed revelation and give them and their father even more ammo, like WTF, did he not see it coming or is he just an insensitive parent?
Well his son is a worthless bum, that would be tough for a successful father
Alice feels attracted to Dale
If I Was Dale I Would’ve Just Got Up And Walk Away Screw Derek
It shows why she wants Dale: he is simple, overgrown child. And she tries to fill the void she has with her sparkling, but really shitty life: her husband is a snob who disrespects her, toxic children, no one to talk to her. She is a depressed woman who wants innocence and childish athmosphere
Derek and his kids are actually right in this.
Please don't have kids.
@@MutatedPizzaBoi So you’re saying you are exactly like Dale?
A 40 year old, unemployed, live with daddy, overgrown fetus?
Mom really putting Alice on the spot there
Derek’s wide was secretly abused. Poor girl.
Derek encourages his kids to be snobs. Instead of recognizing how obnoxious Derek is towards his son and stepson, Robert actively laughs along with him and therefore enables his behavior. Alice is clearly trapped in this unloving relationship.

This scene remakes the whole movie into an abuse drama lol
Yeah not funny exactly, but there's a lot of good acting portraying emotional toxicity modeled, dished out, received and enabled.
At least this Derek became a successful helicopter salesman. The one I know only feels superior because his large family only look after themselves and produce spoiled brats who are ENTITLED.
Glad they cut that because it wasn’t all good.
Alice definitely needs to be more assertive, not to mention less awkward when engaging in conversation.
You know John c reilly is the voice of wreck it ralph
My sister wears cropped top to express herself with her make up and skin care products her first day of school is august 15 at Madison Blvd Oceanside vista
Those kids are so rotten to the core and unrealistic
how is it taunting? all he did was ask him a question
It was everything after that
@joshfactor1 - are you stupid? Given what we know about his character and the tone in which he asked, it was clearly taunting.
I understand Dale is a bum but wtf did Derek think to achieve from this? 😢
Sheesh you think this is depressing? Spend a week in Denver and see the elitist couples here that married into money thinking it would solve all their problems and they’re divorced within 5 years tops.
No
Why are you laughing like that
I can see why they cut this. The movie already established Derek being a jerk. This just drags it out and becomes more painful to watch than funny.
When Adam McKay was funny and not just a lefty hack
Adam Scott is funny
Kind of dark
Damn... this isn't even funny, even on a cringe level. Just kind of depressing really, glad it wasn't included
I can see why. This scene sucks
Kathryn Hanh KILLED IT 😂😂😂
The reason they deleted this scene is because it ruins the comedic weight of the movie
Derek's kids are gonna get shot one day🤣🤣🤣
