- This was so fun to make... I downloaded all texture hacks from Smashboards.com, and most of the music is from brawlcustommusic.com.

How do you bomb-spam ? When I try with 100% Zelda I can just put 2 bombs and then I'm above I can't follow up.

man its crazy that Samus can do some of these things.. like those crazy long wave dashes, and she can basically fly up a a high as she wants all on her own.. I wonder if any other chars can do as much as she can.

So super wave dash with Samus is possible. I can get it on 1 4th speed but can’t perform it at game speed. Will keep at it.

Anyone who thinks that mods are at play here just haven't played Melee competitively enough. Everything in this can be performed on a vanilla Gamecube, with a vanilla Melee disc(providing it's NTSC for things like the extended grapple) and vanilla controller. But while it CAN, as the video states, it's practically impossible due to human limitation. We can't react/input fast/accurately enough. The only things hacked are the textures. Also, yes, a mem card CAN alter how Melee plays despite the disc being read-only(ROM stands for read-only memory afterall). It does so with scripts that take the incoming data (from the disc or ROM if using emulator/Wii Homebrew) and alters it before it reaches the player. It's actually quite a feat to have done this because from what I recall, Gamecube reserves a specific data size for their saves. The real trick is getting the mem card file size to stay the same with all of these alterations at play. This is why no matter how much you progress, or don't for that matter, the file size on your mem card does not change. They are using these scripted mem cards at tournaments now to help "trim the fat". Recently, they have been testing the waters with controller hacks. These hacks don't create new tech skills but rather, make them easier to perform. I'm personally conflicted with that one because as Armada has pointed out, everyone has played the original game but not everyone has had a chance to play with these hacks, or worse, against someone who has. Don't be so quick to dismiss the beauty that is this game. There's a reason why after 16+ years this game is still one of the most entertaining to watch. Not only does the community find more and more glitches like the ones in this video, but they perfect them, making it a part of the meta. People were edge cancelling moves over a decade ago but they either did so accidentally through failed button input, or sat there for hours practicing and got it maybe 1/100 times. 20XX has the capability in training mode to save state on the fly which allows for players to repeat button inputs much more efficiently. It has helped create a new direction of perfection. All of the gods play 20XX at home, show up to tournaments playing on Vanilla Cubes/Wiis, vanilla controllers and NTSC Melee 1.02 (the standard in NA), and still take top spots at almost every major event. That should speak volumes for a)20XX's ability to provide a similar, if not better experience to the original and b)the validity of these players skills. Educate yoself!

OK i should probably know this but what is that bdown launch and how is it done.
DranTene super wavedash, do a down-b on the ground, on the 41st frame after you do it go all the way left on the control stick, then on the 42nd frame go all the way right, you will shoot right. works the other way too, opposite direction you want to go first. it's very difficult (lol m2k did it on his first try)
left to right in 2 frames sounds inhuman but yah m2k can obviously
DranTene 1 frame lol, a lot of experienced samus players can do it, even plup in his losers set vs. leffen at EVO he does it, despite not maining samus for several months
The question is, can m2k do it consistently?
I doubt it. Even though he's what people call a "God" Melee, he's not going to get it more than half the time.
By the time he gets that good, his hands will be torn up from all the years of practicing/playing.

+Joeyboiification as soon as the bomb blows up and samus is in contact with the explosion, she is essentially in free fall and can do any aerial action including bombing again. He's just chaining the bomb explosions together. This is very hard to do consistently because the timing is dependent on the bomb overlapping with an enemy's hurtbox so you can't just practice it like you would a multishine.
I have a question: In order to have texture pack and stuff, you need to play on PC or jalibreak the gamecube?
You can theoretically play a modded Melee ISO on a gamecube, you need special tools though. Playing on Dolphin on the PC is much easier.
