I’ve never seen a stopper chiseled out of a single block of wood. I think it is a cool idea though, and the pipe organ project is sought after to continue!
Very nice as usual Gianmaria! I think you don't need to raise the upper lip to make the pipe sound better. If the tone does't resonate as you expext, try to make the air go more inways and check for leaks at the pipe. I would rather make the upper lip lower so the height is about 1/3 of the width. But i'm not a professional like you know, so take my advise with care and maybe ask a professional for his thoughts. I'm really looking forward to see the finished instrument 👍
Thanks JGB, yes, it could be, I've already tested by moving the cap and the result improves. Don't be fooled by the height of the mouth, as the pipe is rather narrow the mouth seems high, actually for the register I would like to obtain, a hybrid of "Lieblich Gedackt", it has a mouth height that can even exceed the width. However, I will try both ways
Che lavoro magnifico! Complimenti!
Grazie Gianluca!
Grazie mille!
Thanks You!
Very interesting, as usual
Thanks antony!
As always a pleasure to see progress and technique. Perfection = Time + Effort² (Grazie, signore Einstein...)
Thanks Sir, and thanks for the new formula P = te²

yes, traditionally they made them like this, all by hand.

Hola !donde se puede conseguir los tubos de metal y el kit en general?
What kind of wood are you using to build the organ?
Now I have started a new project, and the pipes will be made of spruce and maple, the case will be made of chestnut
What would this stop be called?
Lieblich Gedackt
