Handy accessorie to have, kings may not be the most & best product out there but great value for money to people with a small budget, just look after the gear, thanks for sharing Craig

Well done. Just remember to accurately measure your vehicle's overall height now. Having crossbars on top of a RTT is so handy. I have a pair on my RTT and use them to mount my fixed solar panel. I've also made room to fit Maxtrax. But I have not made it (Maxtrax) a permanent mount. 'Coz by doing so, this will raise the overall height of my 4WD above 2.3m. With just the solar panel mounted, my overall height is 2.28m. This still allows me to fit under all the local shopping centre's undercover carparks - which all have a height limit of 2.3m.

      Hey there.
Yes I already scrap the bars at local Westfield and have to use open air car park. So I guess I’m already trained for that.
      Thanks again

I put a set of these on mine to carry my SUP Boards.
I found it easier to loosely fit the crossbars and bolts off the tent as there isn't much room underneath to get fingers in there to put the nuts on. I then slid all the mounting bolts and nut into the grooves from either end and tightened up everything once in position.
By facing the rear bar with the channel facing forward, I was able to mount a frame I made to secure my solar panel. It sits flush with the bars and doesn't interfere when loading my boards etc.
By mounting the solar panel to one side, it still gets some sunlight for charging when the boards are up there.

      Yeah nice work.
I’m probably going to do a few changes in near future.

Hello from California. Seems like the only people who go overlanding are Australia and Western USA. A RTT would be great, but we decided to take the back seat out of our Jeep Wrangler, make a platform and sleep in the back.

      Yeah nice.
Each to their own and as long as you are out there and enjoying.
If you get a chance make sure you look at my 4 videos on K’gari indigenous name previously known as Fraser Island which is the worlds largest sand island and world heritage listed, also my cook ups I think most people will enjoy and have a go at them.
      Cheers

I have a few followers from various regions of USA also have people from South Africa, India and various parts of Europe. All have different perceptions of touring, over landing or camp set ups.
