- (37) A redux for Golden Harvest idents including the first and latest ones.
According to the founder Raymond Chow (鄒文懷), the Big G ident music was created by famed HK composer Joseph Koo (顧嘉煇), while the Chinese characters constituting the company name (嘉禾) was from the hands of calligraphy master Chang Dai-Chien (張大千).

Nice Golden Harvest logo memories! My favorites is.... the DUUMM DUUMM DUUMM DUUMM sound, because is remind it for legendary Bruce Lee saga.

The 78-97 logo is the one for me. Before every Jackie Chan,Samo Hung movies,the golden age of HK movies forever!

What is the English translation of the Chinese text on the Wheat idents?
The English characters under the Chinese text below looks like it was seemed incorrect on the Wheat idents from 1970-1972.
1:37 Also Lauren Films used the same music with the Golden Harvest logo. See The Woman in Red (La Mujer de rojo) from Mario VHS.
The Orange Sky/Golden Harvest is a cinematic one.
Your redux is amazing, Dire, way to go. Also, it is like an extended version of your first one. The one from 1:16, I perfer the other tone of the theme from your first Golden Harvest collection, because it has the best tone of theme. If you know what I mean. :D

all three versions of the original wheat logo from 1970/72 would be on the early prints of The Big Boss and Fist Of Fury though the UK video release of Fist Of Fury had the wheat opening whereas The Big Boss and Way Of The Dragon had the 1972/78 logo
In the original prints of WAY OF THE DRAGON, the 1972-78 logo was preceded by the animated logo for Bruce Lee's Concord Productions (which is very rare!).
I know the original version of THE BIG BOSS definitely had "Version A" of the "wheat" logo (as evidenced from an early international trailer). Do you know if FIST OF FURY had "Version B" (similar-looking to Version A) or "Version C" (with the darker background)?

Version C I actually knew because I have the 2 UK VHS releases of Fist Of Fury the original Rank Video release from 1982 which was uncut with the nunchaku scenes and the 1997 budget 4 Front/Polygram budget under £6 release which in turn was a reissue of the 1987 Rank budget release which had both the 1978/97 Golden Harvest logo followed by it's original Version C of the Wheat logo which had the nunchaku scenes cut and the reason the initial UK Rank Video version of the Big Boss had the 1972/78 version of the logo preceded by the 1974 Cathay Films ident it was because Rank had opted to use the original UK cinema version of The Big Boss

Following the retirement of Golden Harvest founder, Mr Raymond Chow (Zhou Wenhuai), the company is currently under distribution of indie films.
Well at least they still have their theater chain biz.

there was another seen-in-cinema-only version of GH's 30th anniversary ident, which was formed from a waterfall instead of a wheatfield. i would consider that more cinematic than the OSGH one.

The 1978 one was the best. Previous were typically too much blare. The current one is ok, just a bit too kiddy.
1:38 the 1978 logo ended in 2002, not 1997
Its exactly in 1997 because at that time the logo remade from the old version reference with difference motion and sound effects.
Do u have Golden Harvest Home Entertainment logo video? It only appears in VHS & LD
