Norham Castle - Northumberland's defence against the Scots - Mini 3 pro

Once one of the most important strongholds between England and Scotland, Norham Castle protected a vital ford over the River Tweed. Built and owned by the Bishop of Durham, the castle saw plenty of action during the wars between the English and Scots. It was laid siege by the Scots more than nine times, the longest being seven months, and was captured and occupied four times.
Another notable part of this castle's history hangs in the Tate Gallery in London. JWM Turner first painted Norham castle in 1797, and returned several times to the parish of Norham to complete works. Several of these famous works can be seen today at the gallery, including his Norham Castle painting.

Was in two minds on the music, especially with the castles history of war. The only real issues were the midges! I was eaten alive whilst trying to get these shots!😂
