Baby Dee, if you are reading this..please know that I listen to your work every day when I wake up..and you have helped me choose life. Thank you, thank you.
Seriously this is the song that just absolutely won me over. This song is so full of hope and sweetness. It's so beautiful, and anyone who cannot see it for its beauty is so so unfortunate.
gary chiappa she is the nicest person and so talented and intelligent. She also went to the West Village. I loved her and looked forward to seeing her pedaling by. She is a true talent, beautiful voice... I miss those days.
For some weird reason, Baby Dee visited Greece, I don't know, like 15 years ago, where no one has heard of her, supporting Current 93. She also played the harp during the C93 show. Both sets were brilliant.
Dee identifies as female. If you don't like her, then just go away quietly and keep your comments to yourself. I just performed in a show with her in New York City, "We Sing Baby Dee" at Joe's Pub, and she is one of the sweetest and most wonderful people in the whole world, and I love her. XO Frankky
i wish there was a clip of her performing the whole thing. she always leaves out the stanza that i think is the upshot of the song. 'what would i give to be called her child, what would i give to be called her friend'. i love all the songs on Little Window but she keeps her voice very small and restrained on the recording and her live renditions have more substance. i missed my chance to see her when she toured with Swans.

Meagan Smith she honestly has that gift to transform people
What a magical song to come across late at night when feeling so alone and sad. There is such a purity to her performance.

Thank. You.
You're welcome!
Me and you were two of the lucky 10 there. Baby Dee fans around the world would kill for a chance to see such an intimate show ;)
I remember her riding a very tall bicycle through the east village playing music

Absolutely brilliant !!!!
Joanna and Baby Dee are both very TALENTED and very DIFFERENT musicians. There is no need to name-call; afterall; to each his or her own.
How can you bear such emptiness
I love you though, baby dee. I really do.
