That's a great find. Looking forward to following this build. I am 68 had a GT750A new when I was 19 first trip was to Le Mans 24 hour, happy days. Thanks for sharing 👍
For dial clock repairs I had a great service from Speedy Cables (London) Ltd, Abercrave, Swansea, SA9 1SQ. They managed to rebuild the very rare clocks mon the '74 TR5T. Maybe worth a try?
Good video. As a recent Kettle (A model import fresh to UK) purchaser this has confined my intention not to restore my bike. It will never be as good and I don't have the patience needed anyway, my motorcycling needs don't require it either. I'm sure we will see the bike out when it's finished.
What a brilliant find, the delkevic pipes are an exact match,I have a set on mine & they sound just as good as the originals,I put a video of mine running on my TH-cam channel,I must admit that I prefer the sound of the original system, the guy who restores the clocks in the Caribbean is Allen tucker.
Hi. Great video - thanks. I'm just at the point with my GT750 K where I'm about to start to reassemble. The philosophy will be it will only go back on the bike if it looks new or is new (I don't have quite as many NOS parts as you though!). The thing I haven't sorted out yet are the clocks. Do you have Allan Tucker's contact details - and is he still working? I managed to establish he works from Barbados (with a Google search) but can't find any details. And do you have a rough idea regarding what he might charge? Or, finally, any other recommendations for someone who could refurb the clocks? Thanks - and good luck with the project.
Hi Phil, my mate Grant (in the video)who owns the bike brought it from somebody else who had the clocks restored probably 10 years ago. I don't know his address but if you look in the comments further down somebody called flickthenick mentioned somebody in Swansea that does them.
I always wanted one of these. A mate of mine back in the mid 70's let me have a go on his GT750 and I loved it, so smooth and a great sound.
