I would highly recommend his video on frog fishing that he posted in the fall. Quite easily the most useful bass fishing tip video I’ve ever watched. I went from never catching a bass on a frog to it being one of my confidence lures.
I would one go with a high abrasion and bumo up the test size. Only being if your frog popping you have to drag a bass theough some thick weeds or moss.

One thing I love about frog fishing is if you miss the fish or the fish misses the bait all you have to do is throw it again, I've got a white poppin perch never caught a fish on it, but a frog all kinds of bites & I like the pp better it will cast a mile, is white the wrong color?
@@TylersReelFishing yeah this was a extremely secluded, hidden little lake that gets little to no pressure so I think the fish were eager to eat cuz they don't see much baits.. I bet some of those fish it was there first time ever being hooked

I can't wait for frog season. I recently bought a scum frog trophy series and out of the 6 different frogs I own for some reason I absolutely can not walk it. The frog just kinda pops just a popping frog I don't understand.

I’ve always struggled with frogs in the summer in Florida because it’s so damn hot the bass aren’t eating off the top even though it’s frog season down here and frogs are everywhere in the summer but I catch them all off the bottom this time of year

Well that statement does seem to make sense from a high-level, it does not hold any water in real life. Also, in 95% of situations, when we throw a top water frog, we are not actually imitating a frog. It is mostly imitating a bluegill
I have been watching your videos for about a month. Basically nonstop since I came across your channel. How does all the tips and help you give translate to fishing in different areas. Like I'm going upstate to fish in lakes.
Almost all of my videos can apply to both lake fishing and pond fishing, and within that, the specific situation is also talked about in the videos. I could probably always be more clear with where certain techniques should be used, but a good rule of thumb is: if you see me fishing something that looks like a body of water you are fishing, and the conditions are the same, you can probably do the same thing I am doing
So I grabbed a couple of the poppin' perches after watching your video - BUT I have a follow up question! Both of mine are taking on water through the little hole under the eye. To the point that I have to squeeze it out sometime ever other cast. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Seem odd that both are doing it so consitently :/
