I think a lot of it is the people in the relationship are not compatible in how they view marriage, but either sides are willing to admit to what they want. Like one person doesn’t want/ is not ready for a marriage but afraid to bring it up because it is typically frown upon, and the other person maybe wants a marriage but also afraid to speak up because it will force them to have THE conversation and the relationship might end or just never be the same. It’s kinda like playing relationship chicken.

Idk with story 1. It sounds like a rich guy was convinced by his rich family that he was too good for a poor girl. Plenty of family's endure and thrive in a multi religious and culture household. Lame excuses to me.🤷♀️
