Never even you knew you watched some of my vids.. it's definietly humbling coming from you. I appreciate you helping us out with these videos! lookin' forward for more!
after practicing for two weeks I've only done it 3x. I've been told by the devs that it's completely animation based and calls for the perfect situation for the move to execute by itself.
if you hold LT you can dunk by holding RT & Moving the RS. It's harder in some aspects because you now need 4 buttons to activate the dunk. LS, RS, LT & RT. By just pushing RT & X should be easier. Also change your "Go To" dunks in order to see the dunks you like more.
well, for Ankle Breaker to activate (make sure you have your sig skills up while playing) you have to have 80% energy I believe. So I see it light up every time I call isolation.
Believe it or not Jordan's release is not as easy as it looks. I have his jumper and release & I play on HOF. Make sure ALL of your shooting attributes are maxed out. Shot in traffic, Mid range, 3pt etc.
My favorite combo: 1. between the legs 2. crossover 3. stepback 4. lastly, spinmove or a one-two combo while dribbling towards the defender make a crossover then behind the back
its the same as the hop step. while standing still move the left analog to the right and press cirlce(or B if you have an xbox) i usually do a hesitation with the ball in my dominant hand before i try it
thanks for taking the time to put this on... new to 2k13 and that round the back iverson cross was great, saw D Rose do it on the preview clip so been dying to know how to do it :)
Cheers, started a new MyCareer with an Atheltic PG now standing at 6'7" and it's much better got nearly to an A- teammate rating after the first half and got 5 stars in nearly every category, mainly because I tried to give my teammates more assists, only try to get rebounds when I have a realy chance to get one and especially stopped doing stupid dribbling moves.
You make great tutorials, Shake. Been watching these tutorials since 2K12, and they've been helping me ever since. I'm pretty horrible at passing (embarrassing, I know) and I need some tips. Would you care to give me some tips?
I used to just move the stick left and right and crazy stuff like that and I actually made Harden fall over once but now I do it with a purpose! Thanks!
first time playing this since 2k10 loved that game controlls feel diffrent harder to get to grips with thanks to the guy who set up the tutorials keep it up thanks from scotland
alright shakedown i was waiting on your Dribble Tutorial i used your Tutorial last year and became a beast.I'm going in the lab and work on this all day today when you coming with a Defence video.Because when everyone learn this to i need to be able to stop them from doing this stuff to me.Love the video this Tutorial will help me on the Hall of fame mode when i play the CPU in a season i got coming up.My best games are with the CPU because they play real basketball sim-style love it!!........
Shake, apart from the dunks here do you turn on the jets after pulling off a dribble combo when driving to the basket or just walk past these defenders?
Hello Shakedown2012, Thank you for this videos! When you are 1v1 and you do a move, lets say Hesitation. While the Hesistation animation is happening do you release the LS and then when you see the player set his feet you then Push LS forward AND hold RT to sprint and rush through the basket? Or do you leave LS forward at all times even during the animations? Should we sprint everytime we are attacking the basket or is it better to not use unless we absolutely want the dunk? Thanks again!
Shake for the between the legs when you say back left or back right does that mean towards the back on an angle? Im a lil confused, none the less great video, me and my boys are playing an association with the knicks and I'm being moved from SF to SG so and I'm going from Gallo to J.R and Shump so I need a few pointers on handles and this helps alot THANKS!
hey shake at 5:39 The Cross Spin Move you should mention or add a caption to do that animation allen iverson does you have to be under 6'3, i was trying for a while to figure out how to do that animation with my 6'7 PF finally i reduced his height and it worked,.
I occasionally have a little trouble doing the step-back dribble for some reason. I guess it's because it's mapped to the left stick and not the right, but sometimes my guy will completely turn around and face backwards when I try to pull the stick away from the hoop. Any pointers other than practice Shake? Thanks as always man, great vids.
Shake, huge fan, long time viewer, and enjoy your work on here especially the tutorials. i have a quick question however, i play 2k13 on the 360 using the right stick as a shot stick, are performing these dunks harder using the right stick? some moves i have a hard time trying to do and usually end up doing 2-4 of my 13 dunks in my packages.
I have learned to do all the moves on PC keyboard :D It was tough but i did it. Your videos are good but i was wondering are you doing this on keyboard or controler???
Hey Shake! Thx, for the vid & tipps! Helped me a lot.., And u r right: I'm still trying to combine moves to come in my own "flow". And every time I get a bit better and better! (Far away from your skills, bit it grows lol). So THX!!
Hey Shake can you do a video about the correlation the ls has with the right stick as far as moves go. Ex if your on the move and you flick the rs to the right but ls is going left. I would like to use the rs exclusively for crosses and dribble moves but sometimes the ls press has my guy doing stuff I didn't wanna do. thanks
Shake I'm confused as to when I use turbo. Do you ever hit RT after doing a crossover, driving to the rim? Because I find myself making a good dribble move, but then the defender will catch up. I'm not sure if I should use RT, or when to do it.
Hey Shake, I have NBA 2K12, and have a MyPlayer 99 overall in my 3rd season. I've been thinking about getting 2k13 when it gets a little cheaper. But I don't know if I should just wait for 2k14 instead? What do you think I should do, stay with 2k12 until 2k14 or get 2k13?
Every time i go back to one of the classics I always gotta come watch shake's dribble tutorial for that game, salute!
Gotta relearn all these cause of the new systems
Same. 1st time playing in 10 yrs
Ahoy my colored brother 😂
It’s not that fuckin hard to do all this on 13 tf 😂 this game as simple asf
Never even you knew you watched some of my vids.. it's definietly humbling coming from you. I appreciate you helping us out with these videos! lookin' forward for more!
For my fifa players, this guy is KSI for nba
after practicing for two weeks I've only done it 3x. I've been told by the devs that it's completely animation based and calls for the perfect situation for the move to execute by itself.
umm... Defensive tutorial coming Next. Especially for this guy.
Oh it's on the way Patrick. It'll be out tomorrow or Thursday.
In my layup tutorial I talk about how it cannot be manually done this year.
if you hold LT you can dunk by holding RT & Moving the RS. It's harder in some aspects because you now need 4 buttons to activate the dunk. LS, RS, LT & RT. By just pushing RT & X should be easier. Also change your "Go To" dunks in order to see the dunks you like more.
10 yrs gonna play again 😓
Yes, it's possible. Get a triple double in the rookie showcase
check the description in that video. Has all the details.
great point. I'm 6'6 and I cannot do that move.
To my knowledge, the patch hasn't come out yet.
good vid man! thanks for this..
saving that for the shooting tutorial.
They use to call it the U-Tep 2 Step. He was the best for that but I have him for something a little more exclusive.
Yes, I use RT going to the rim.
I got to see Iverson play in person once.. dude was one of the quickest dudes I've ever seen
2k13 is probably the easiest game to do dribble moves
well, for Ankle Breaker to activate (make sure you have your sig skills up while playing) you have to have 80% energy I believe. So I see it light up every time I call isolation.
Believe it or not Jordan's release is not as easy as it looks. I have his jumper and release & I play on HOF. Make sure ALL of your shooting attributes are maxed out. Shot in traffic, Mid range, 3pt etc.
check the description for the guy that created the beat.
Allen Iverson: Practice?! We talking about practice?! haha gotta love Allen Iverson, such a baller player :3
I love seeing my freinds flick that right stick randomly,Its hilarious,so im glad ik how to do this
Finisher if you had to choose 1. Choose all of them if you want to BEAST.
I personally love the double crossover, but between the legs first then second one infront, works quite well actually, broke some ankles with it :D
yes, I sprint towards the rim. But I release the RT when I know I'm not going to dunk.
I have seen a lot of so called tutorials videos on youtube and my friend you have the absolute best video out......really talk. Keep doing your thing.
yeah that'll happen when you get under a larger defender.
yeah, no doubt. Just takes practice.
I respect Monroe's game but that was back in the 60's.
ShakeDown2012 the best tutorial and tips adviser in TH-cam. period
this is the funniest msg I've read all week. But you're right.
YES!!! This is the video I was waiting for even before 2k13 was out lol. I'm so pumped you made a dribble vid!
when was he giving out free copies of 2K13? I can show you my receipt. lol
MyCareer Overall at this point is a 93
A.I. was the best because he would put his WHOLE body in the cross over. something, only a few players know how to do today. Great Vid as usual Shake!
check the description
My favorite combo:
1. between the legs
2. crossover
3. stepback
4. lastly, spinmove
or a one-two combo
while dribbling towards the defender make a crossover then behind the back

what do you mean? like it doesn't work?
I love it how you left Stephen Curry searching for the ball.
Thanks!

I love these 2k tutorials! been keepin up with this since 2k11
what do you mean? Works fine for me.
Nice lol. If you have a good cell phone, you could record the gameplay and send it in for my Top 10 Plays of the Week series.
He uses player lock and zooms it in all the way i do that to

Your presentation is much better than it needs to be
shake when ever 2k makes me rage watching you're videos make me want to get back on
Is there a best time as to when to press turbo?? Right after the move? As I begin it? When?
Great video shake. I loved watching AI as a kid he is an insane ball handler
I have learned to do all the moves on PC keyboard :D It was tough but i did it. Your videos are good but i was wondering are you doing this on keyboard or controler???
dope vids, I play sideways.. are these moves player relative or camera relative?
Hey man that's some real helpful stuff, thanks!
At around 5:18, what camera settings are those ?
You think you can make a video on rondo's layup package. Having trouble pulling off the dream shake
Behind the back to spin while driving and before you get to 3pt line is deadly.. most of times you get straight to the basket =)
Hey Shake!
Thx, for the vid & tipps!
Helped me a lot.., And u r right: I'm still trying to combine moves to come in my own "flow". And every time I get a bit better and better! (Far away from your skills, bit it grows lol).
So THX!!
Hey can u give me advise on the best dribble moves selection for myplayer. The iso cross, bb, spin. I like the hesitation 3. What r yours?
You go to game modes and press blacktop and once ur in the character selection press RB or R1 until it gets to myplayer
Hey Shake can you do a video about the correlation the ls has with the right stick as far as moves go. Ex if your on the move and you flick the rs to the right but ls is going left. I know right. lol. But there's a lot of "kids" watching these videos for the game you feel me.
thanks for the video but how often are u on the sprint when crossing over
My Favorite 2K Montage maker just came through to my vid? I have officially arrived. lol. Peace fam.
hey shake what shot form and base do u have.. u seem to have a nice time release.
You always do good video maan !! Keep it up :D
