Indulging in Street Foods at Carnival | La Paz

Welcome back to Drifting South!
Brent and I have been on the road and living out of our RV for the past 4 months and we are ready for a little vacation in the city of La Paz to celebrate Brents Birthday. It just happened to be the same time as Carnival, so we enjoyed the bright lights, pulsating music and incredible foods on the malecon.
Our hotel, Casa Bo, exceeded all expectations as the location was so close to all the action and so many wonderful restaurants. Plus it was pet friendly which was really important to us. We not only had a great birthday celebration but also a nice Valentines date with oysters and a soak in our outdoor bathtub.
It was a wonderful 3 days in La Paz but we are happy to be back in the quiet corner we inhabit at Villa Mar y Arena in Puerto San Carlos, BCS, Mexico.

We were so lucky to be there for Carnival. We actually heard it was on the weekend so we purposely went on the Monday and we’re surprised it was still on for 2 more days. It was a happy surprise. We’ve been away from crowds for so long that we thought we wouldn’t enjoy it we absolutely did.
It was really cool being around locals and not so many tourists.
