Padraig H I know, I was just saying, because the mother called her a child so I was saying about children... and she’s almost a kid/still a teenage adult...
As someone who was abused for years by my ex, this was triggering and beautiful at the same time. It reminded me how far I’ve come from being abused. Thank you to those who stood up for this woman.
No grown, mentally competent adult should ever ever utter the words “abused for years”. Unless you were held against your will, you CHOSE to stay in an abusive relationship. Abused for a month and then you left? Sure that’s all on him, but stay for years??? Sorry, but you were an enabler to your own abuse.
@@alexblaze8878 I somewhat agree with that, especially if it happens in the U.S. where there are so many resources and help for abvsed women. But it's also not that simple. Some people have deep self-esteem issues and abvsers take full advantage of that... it's evil.
@@adrukova1407 oh I agree but she still enabled the abuse. IMO, some abusers also have “deep, self-esteem issues” but that doesn’t alleviate them from blame nor does it give a pass to the woman who enabled their own abuse. I say this with the experience of someone who grew up with a very violent father who abused my mother almost daily. I hate my father for what he did but I also can acknowledge that my mother had her own part to play in refusing to leave him even when she had the means and the clear opportunity to do so; she once inherited a large sum of money while my father was working out of state for 4 months and STILL wouldn’t leave him even though I pleaded with her nonstop. Worse, she stayed with him as he abused us four kids also (even after he violently raped my 15-year old sister that suffered from Downs Syndrome) as well as molesting me along with physically abusing me from as far back as I can remember: I often walked around with scabbed- over welts from a razor strop he was fond of using from my lower back all the way down to my ankles. As much as I loved my mother growing up, as an adult with wisdom and maturity I can now see where she absolutely enabled the abuse he dealt to all of us. It’s one thing to endure abuse being done to you, it’s an entirely different and inexcusable thing when you allow your children to be subjected to that abuse. [wow, this turned into a “tell-all” story-sorry about that). I’ll cut this short by saying when I was 14 I made plans to make sure he was no longer wasting valuable oxygen (to state it delicately). Fortunately I backed out at the last second and ran away from home. Was taken in by Child services and eventually adopted by a kind family and the rest is history.
@@alexblaze8878 lots of ppl stay with their abusive partner thinking that they will change but that rarely happens, my mom wasted 20 years on my dad who gave her nothing

Courtney Nunez that was such a powerful statement. I would be so proud of her if she was my daughter. Heck, I’m proud of her anyway. She is an inspiring woman.
stlouie88 wouldn’t call her a coward. Mom was afraid that the man would attack and hurt her daughter. But in the end, she assisted her daughter in helping the woman.
I don’t like how the mother hugged John. Like she didn’t do anything she was PREVENTING her daughter from standing up and calling her a child. Then when she gets on TV, the mother acts like she did the right thing? Bro that’s some bs
It would be interesting if you did one with a single father trying to buy sanitary products with his daughter and someone telling him that it's not his role, that a female should be the one shopping for the sanitary items with the daughter.
@@thelifeyenvision8242 I don't blame her. A lunatic who abuses his wife could do terrible stuff to a stranger's daughter. I'm 19 too and my mom probably would hold me back if we were in the situation
I think as a mom myself your scared for you own childs safety. If he had a gun or was abusive you never know what he could do. But she is a woman young but a woman capable of making her own decisions.
Amber Nicole I hate that everyone’s using this same excuse... it’s a pathetic one. It doesn’t cost anything to stand up for someone. You don’t even need to confront the person, call security, the police, or comfort the victim... if the guy tried anything, police would definitely get involved..
No she was just protecting her she didn't want her to get hurt at least she let her try to knock some sense into the guy, I feel like most parents would do the same and then get involved themselves if they had the time
when you're a mom, that's different, you want the best for your child and don't want to be embarrassed in front of your child as well so she needs to act big when the camera came

People commenting rude about her mother, listen up... As a mother she was scared for her daughter that the crazy man would attack her. It's every mothers heart / love to protect their children no matter what happens.
My mother and I 1000% do not get along but at the same time I can at least trust that if I was going to step into a horrible situation to help somebody and she knew I wouldn't back down then she would have the courage to have my back. She and I fight but we refuse to take someone else's shit. She taught me that.

Im a big ass dude my prefered method is imediatly beating the abusers ass its a water boy scenario where i envision my dad in that person its almost an uncontrollable reflex for me men that beat women fold like laundry in a fight with an actual man and the best part is that the police will usualy just write it all off because you did what they want to but cant hell ive had the abuser end being the one in cuffs ive served about 1.5 years in totall at this point and every second inside was worth it to see a evil man get what was coming to see the women realize that they now had a chance to leave i grew up doing martial arts the lifestyle is important to me innthat you never use your ability to hurt only to protect yourself or someone in need ive never been in a frivolous fight
It's not really realistic. I've never seen a man or a woman yelling at their partner like that in public(apart for the many pranks on youtube). This is going on in private.
KupKate215: Just to be clear I don’t know what kind of faith you have and I believe when being abused verbally or physically there should be separation, so here it is. The bible says the woman should commit to the man, as well as submit. Therefore, the husband should have power over here in things such as houses, jobs, and even the small things such as “okay, let’s leave now.” The man in this video is obviously an exception to this, but there’s my opinion. And yes, I am prepared for feminism coming right back at me.

I would have helped my daughter, but don't judge her for trying to protect her kid.
They still seem to have a good relationship, so chill
@@anja6983 Exactly, she wanted to protect the woman but also protect her child. She didn't know what the man was capable of.
I'm 12 and I would have said something. Idk if my parents got in my way. They would have backed me up.
