    I love the hinges! I wish every suitcase adopt them. The floppy lids on all other suitcases are annoying

      @@SignedSojourner would really like to get it but you really cant pack anything in that case.I dont even think you can pack a weeks worth of clothes

      Honestly kinda depends where you going? I was easily able to pack enough for a week in Costa Rica. But I could see how if you’re going somewhere colder that requires bulkier clothing you might only get 4 or 5 days in there.

    11.5 lbs is very heavy. Beautiful luggage but that weight means you can pack much less heavy items that would require the protection.

    I am thinking about getting one, this looks way much better than Tumi's. But yeah .. at $1500 I wish it had an anti-scratches coating.

      If you don’t want to ever have any scratches I honestly wouldn’t get any aluminum luggage. Scratches and dents come with the territory of aluminum luggage. I actually have never heard of any aluminum luggage that has an anti scratch coating. If you have what brand has that?

    Did it get heavy dragging the bag along ? I usually prefer 4 wheels but the beauty of this bag I may have to compromise

      Not really no. The only place the four wheels was a bit inconvenient was in a super packed security area line with stop and go traffic. Be even then not a huge deal. It’s only a carry on so you can’t really pack it too be super heavy which helps.

    I guess the $1,500 question is why buy this over a Rimowa case?

    • @SignedSojourner
      @SignedSojourner  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's a very good question! I haven't yet tested or felt a Rimowa yet. But for me personally I think the Sterling is a much better looking case than Rimowa's I've seen.
      I can't say for sure but just from materials used it seems like the Sterling is better built as well. For example, Rimowa's cabin bag handles and trolly handle are made of plastic and Sterlings side and top handles are full grain leather with its trolly handle being full aluminum wrapped in full grain leather.
      Rimowa's lining is made of polyester where as Sterlings is a ring spun twill weave fabric.
      I'm sure Rimowa makes a great product as well. Or else they'd be out of business haha. But that's the best answer I have for your question.

    Suitcases by this company seem to be........Heavy ! 😯😯

    • @SignedSojourner
      @SignedSojourner  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is kind of true haha. 11.5lbs for this case is definitely up there compared to most luggage. They are also better built than any other luggage I've used too. I think the weight comes from them using metal in places most other companies use plastic.

      @@SignedSojourner That’s the feature I like too, also the thinner cover. (it takes more space if you have to lay it flat & open) However for the excess weight, like Hermès Birkin, it seems more comfortable & practical when you travel with car.
      I live in Paris, I’ve never seen people carry a Birkin in Métro and I will never do so either. (theft is out of control in S. Europe)
      The photos on their website don’t look it holds much either. (not deep enough)
