Being new to board games, I would like to recommend Concordia. Not a Rosenberg game but one of the all time greats. I hope you get a chance to play it.
I just wanted to thank you for your content. Your videos are of great quality and you create them in the speed YOU find enjoyable and not too stressful. Playing games should be fun and not feel like some kind of obligation. So there is no reason to justify yourself for the time they take! Thanks again from Germany!
Yay!! Glad you were able to film this!! It's been a journey, congrats on seeing it through! Thanks to you both, I managed to learn Agricola, Fields of Arle and Glass Road!
This series was so much fun to watch over the years -- thank you for all the time and energy invested into this project!!! For what it's worth, I've played many of these as well though almost always solo if that option is available and my top three are, (1) Nusfjord, (2) Fields of Arle, (3) Caverna. Going back to Nusfjord is like a fresh cup of your favorite tea/coffee on a cold morning...it's hard to explain but I get a very cozy feeling from it every time and the simplicity of the core mechanisms is, for me, among its biggest draws. At any rate, thanks again!
I love Le Havre because of its elegance and simplicity. Easy to learn and teach but very very hard to control. I think it's a jewell. It's very hard to do something soo simply and soo deep. Thank you for this type of video. Big hugs from Spain
As someone who loves both worker placement games and the farming genre, this video and series gave me a TON of new games to look our for. Thank you so much!
I absolutely love Hallertau, it's my favourite Uwe design. Amusingly enough I have only ever played it solo, and perhaps that is one of the main reasons I love it so much, because it feels like just this one big puzzle to figure out. I get the card luck critisism, but I'm not that bothered with the luck of the draw there. I love trying to see what I can do with whatever I get. Another reason I am so endeared with it is that it's so far the simplest big box Uwe designs to set up and tear down, at least out of the ones I have played. I used to own Caverna a bunch of years ago, and I enjoyed it, but sorting through the dozens of dozens of building times in that game nearly did me in. I pride myself in sorting my games and streamlining the set-up process but I just could not find a way to do that with those building tiles. I am really interested in Fields of Arle, though now, after having seen your playthrough of it. Hope I can find myself a copy of it sometime.
It's one game which I can play a lot online, and yet still want to play offline as well, never gonna get bored. It got higher and higher in my overall top the more I understood how to play it well, now it's up to third.
I am so happy that you guys are making these videos. I see and appreciate the effort you put into these projects. Not all the games you play and like are my kind of games, but I really like the way you approach the game play, the explanations and interactions. So, please, keep making these videos.
Loved this series. I don’t care how long they take to finish. I am here for the journey and exploring. Hope you continue with other designers - even if they take five years or never complete. 🙂 These videos help me so much in figuring out what to try - and when. They also make those big name designers games seem much more approachable. So thank you for all the hours that went into these.
Thank you so much! I have been enjoying these videos VERY much and truly appreciate you for taking on this series. As a fellow Uwe fan, it really helped solidify my love and opened me up to new games to try.
I have heard them Murphy boys talking about "dry" games. I wasn't exactly sure what they meant. But yeah, hearing yall talk, I like dry games too. I actually prefer playing Everdell with regular cards and poker chips. That is how I play it, I boiled the game down to strictly mechanics.
Thank you so much for embarking on this amazing journey and finishing it off with this awesome ranking and overview of the series. Thank you so much for your time, energy and enthusiasm! I am very grateful. Definitely discovered Feast for Odin because of your high praise and what a gem of game. Looking forward to the content about older games! Take care. Cis
That was very interesting, thanks a lot :) Regarding Fields of Arle: The Expansion Tea and Trade raises the player count to 3 players. Also, its one of these "never play without it again"-expansions that brings a lot to the game. The same is true even more for the Norvegians expansion for Feast of Odin... it smoothes out most of the little weaknesses of the base game.
I love that you did this series. Uwe is my favorite designer. I don't by any stretch own all of his games, but I own more of his games than any other designer. I currently have Applejack on pre-order. Thank you so much for your excellent teaches and playthroughs. I can't even imagine how much time you put into this, let alone any teaches and playthroughs that you do. You have to REALLY love games to do this, and I for one am SO glad you do! You have played a lot of Uwe's games, so you really don't have to justify the ranking. There are also emotions / events that can make a game special to one person and not another. I appreciate your list! Who else thinks that the dude on Nusfjord board game looks like Paul Hogan?? 😆 I agree with the "ramp up," conundrum with Feast for Odin. It feels like you are getting nowhere, and suddenly you are filling in those tiles.
What an amazing series! It was a 2 year run that definitely was a marathon. I made it to the end and I feel like I accomplished something special too. Thanks for the great content! ❤️
I have played both Agricola and Caverna over 50 times each and at that point the replayability of (the old) Agricola kicks in. You have the E, I and K decks with the basic game alone. Then the "Farmers of the Moor" expansion launches the game into orbit. Sure, it is sometimes painful, but there are those of us who are actually into that, nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
I haven't played many of his games, but a Feast for Odin is one of my all time favourite games and it's always nice to hear other people loving it as much. Speaking of my favourite games, very excited for Anachrony coming up on the channel in the future.
I can’t believe Hengist didn’t make the list! ;) I loved this entire series! Thank you! Surprisingly, neither my husband nor I loved our play of AFFO but we need to play again and add Norwegians. Nusfjord was our intro to Uwe so it holds a better ranking for us. We love them all though really!
Thanks so much for this series! Such a great concept and a what a service you have done to us board gamers! Can’t wait to see you revisit older games as I do feel content creators disproportionately speak about ‘the hotness’ and I’m much more interested in the ‘classics’. Great work as always! 🎉
I've only played: Agricola Le Havre At the Gates of Loyang Caverna Agricola all creatures big and small Bonanza Ora et Labora Glass Road (The first 3 being my favorites) So my experience with Rosenberg's games is from 2007 to 2013 (except for Bonanza). He's still one of my favorite board game designers to date. Great video as always! Tremendous work!
This was my favorite series. He's my favorite designer so I was always excited to see a new game. I would probably obsess over a channel that just played his games all the time.
I've been looking forward to this wrap up. Though Uwe Rosenberg is a favorite designer of mine, I haven't played half of his games, but Agricola will forever be in my Top-3 because of what it is and when I learned it along my gaming journey. You two are amazingly thorough to have made it through all of his games, just incredible!
I can't decide on either Agricola or Caverna. I've watched both playthroughs, and so far Agricola looks to be the better game to me. What to do! Just bought Feast for odin and the expo, so there's a start :)
@@lhorbrum1818 Caverna is like Agricolas version of Feast for Odin. So basically Caverna is in middle of these games and that is why its usually skipped. Agricola is the one that is not replacable by how tight and cutthroat it is.
Great ranking video of a great designer. Feast is a Beast! It battles Lisboa & recent contender Hegemony for my #1. I’m glad you’re going to focus on older games. I would love to see a play through of Goa. There’s a lot of great Knizia classics to feature, too. Game on!
Ayyyy, congrats on completing this trek! A Feast For Odin is also in my top five-ish, and I love Caverna and Fields of Arle as well. Just love hearing you guys talk about games with enthusiasm.
As ever, a very enjoyable discussion from you both. Thank you. I always like the discussion versus straight presentation. I’m a long-time Uwe fan and own most of those games you went through. Of the few I don’t own, I have played all but one of them (Oranienburger Canal - I’m hoping for a reprint, but preferably with a different art style and square cards - the reasons it’s not part of my set). When asked by friends which is my favourite game, my heart has (since around 2008) said Agricola. We played that game for at least 2 years, every week without fail, at least once - often many more times. In recent years, as I’ve begun to curate my collection (rather than just collect), I’ve realised that there are several other games that compete with it and my head tells me that they are even, objectively, better. For this reason I think it’s wise to approach ranking with the tier system that you did. It’s clear you both favour A Feast For Odin (what a game!!), but I like the way you say, “these are all top tier”, with the subtext . In that respect my top tier (6 games) for Uwe would be (in no particular order…): - A Feast For Odin - The Fields of Arle (have you played Tea & Trade - it is superb, and there is the possibility of further expansion from the designer of Norwegians) - Agricola - Caverna (I designed an ‘extra-player’ bot last year which can be used for solo or to up-the-player-count for multiplayer games - it needs some more run throughs to improve, but it works very well) - Bohnanza - Le Havre
I’m keen to hear your thoughts on Anachrony too - another game that competes for top tier ranking across all games.
Hooray finally !...well done ! ive been looking forward to this epic review series, i am so sympathetic to your assessments, love Uwe Rosenberg. I even got two Vital Lacerda games due entirely your enthusiasm and l play solo .
Been really looking forward to this one! Wanted to thank you again for the series, after discovering a few Uwe games last year I also became interested in watching y'all play them which was both entertaining and was immensely helpful for me figuring out whether or not I was interested in them (which was usually a yes). Seeing Nusfjord pretty low does sting but I think you’re spot on about player count. The game was a hit in my gaming group and after many plays we found it really sung at 4p specifically. It was still fine at 3 and 5 but not enough competition at 3 and a little too long/chaotic at 5.
I love this. I played 20 and here is my ranking (solo) My ranking after playing solo mode in all these games 1 A Feast for Odin 2 Glass Road 3 Hallertau 4 Nusfjord 5 Oranienburger Kanal 6 Fields of Arle 7 At the Gates of Loyang 8 Ora et Labora 9 Sagani 10 Le Havre 11 Merkator 12 Atiwa 13 Caverna: Cave vs Cave 14 Caverna: The Cave Farmers 15 Agricola (Revised Edition) 16 Nova Luna 17 Tulpenfieber 18 Reykholt 19 New York Zoo 20 Cottage Garden
Naveen not that I needed another reason to like you but my two favorite Uwe games are Le Havre and Feast for Odin. Great video both of you! So much fun to see your feelings after looking at so many games from one designer!
Amazing effort to get this series finally done! I have not got any Uwe Rosenberg's copy yet. But having watched all the playthroughs, I would def go with le Havre and Oranienburger Canal. Hope I would be able to find a copy some day soon. Thank you so much to help us discover his games!
Thank you so much for this series and all the work you out into sharing all these wonderful games with the community! A Fest for Odin is a game I would love to try next and it seems like it might very well be worth it! Thank you so much!
*Here's my ranking:* Caverna: The Cave Farmers Agricola A Feast for Odin Fields of Arle Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small Caverna: Cave vs Cave Patchwork Le Havre Oranienburger Kanal Atiwa Ora et Labora Glass Road New York Zoo At the Gates of Loyang
Been enjoying this series! My favourite designer! Would you consider doing a designer series on Vlaada Chvátil at some point? That list would be insanely varied and entertaining.
Uwe Rosenberg is one of my absolute favorite designers... if not my favorite! ☺ Really excited to see your rankings! (A Feast for Odin at #1, maybe?) 🤞
@@BeforeYouPlay My guesses for your other four favorite designers would be: Vital Lacerda, Alexander Pfister... then maybe Dávid Turczi, Simone Luciani, or Daniele Tascini? Maybe Shem Phillips, too? 🤔 By the way, here are my favorite Uwe Rosenberg games I've ever played (including on BGA), although I regrettably haven't played as many as you both have! 1. A Feast for Odin 2. Glass Road 3. Hallertau 4. Agricola 5. Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small 6. Patchwork 7. Nova Luna 8. Framework 9. Applejack 10. Bohnanza
Great series and I understand the challenge with ranking all 18 of his games. I agree with Odin being at the top of the list without diminishing the others. I was really on the fence about backing Oranienberger Kanal but so very glad I did.
This was so helpful and entertaining! I really need to get more of these titles in my collection. Thanks for the education and elucidation on Uwe's work!
Great to hear you’ll be doing more content on older games! I generally don’t bother watching videos on new games/kickstarters etc. Looking forward to the Mindclash series 🙌
We only caught a few of the actual playthroughs from the games, but this wrap up was very interesting and the brief overviews of the games (and how they compared to each other a bit) was helpful. We've only played 5 of his full sized games ourselves here. Hallertau, Nusfjord, Glassroad, Caverna, and Le Havre. For me I would rank them (favorite first) Hallertau, Caverna, Glassroad, Nusfjord, and then Le Havre. We definitely want to eventually get to play Feast for Odin. My gf and I have only been in the hobby a few years so we're looking forward to you guys covering more older games that you still think are great. We like cult of the new as much as the next, but we also enjoy playing those older great games just as much. An old classic to someone else is new to us. You guys make great videos, and don't tell Rodney I said this (don't want the Canadian mafia sent after me) but you guys do as good of a job as he does at teaching games. We've been using a lot of your videos lately where you set up, teach, then play a game. If you don't mind me asking, what do/did you guys do outside of your channel & WIP?
What a great cap to an amazing board game journey! Wanted to give y'all major kudos as I've recently been getting into Uwe games and now LOVE AFFO. Excited for the rest of the Mindclash games as well! Y'all are great ❤
This series was amazing i love Uwe games. I ALMOST buy Reykhold several times, it goes on sale here in Brasil a lot(Around R$ 200,00) and now i know im not going to do that, I'll buy Halertau instead. Thank you for all the information on your videos. Board game here in Brazil its VERY expensive, Agricola 15 for example cost R$999,99 (no joking) and the minimum wage here its R$1300,00 That's why your videos it's so important, so people don't waste a lot of money on games that they would not like. Again, Thanks for your vídeos, it helps A LOT.
This was such a fun series to watch. Despite watching almost every one...I've only ever played Patchwork Unfortunately, my playing partners (AKA friends & family) just aren't into euros & long games in general. But having watched your series, the ones I'm most interested in are definitely Nusfjord (I'm a sucker for the cute little fish meeples), Fields of Arle (because I play a lot at 2P), Caverna (which I've wanted to play since getting into the hobby) and of course, A Feast for Odin (the amount of love people have for this games is insane).
Hallertau was my first big Uwe game so it'll always have a place for me. I think a Feast for Odin is slowly becoming my favorite of his games, though. Thanks for this video, it was a lot of fun! :)
Did I miss Patchwork? You both mentioned it, but it didn't wind up in the rankings. What a great series. It's been so fun to hear your in-depth thoughts about so many different games by a single prolific designer.
At the beginning of the video they mentioned a separate ranking for the polyonimo series.... Assumedly that includes Patchwork, Cottage Garden, Indian Summer, etc.
2007 was not that long ago guys. I was playing strategic games back in the late 70s. Air War being my favorite and i still have it today. No one wants to play the one though. Feeding your people is a driver for strategy in Agricola and the cards drove that strategy.
Great list! Uwe is my favourite designer. I think I had 10 of his games in my top 40. A Feast for Odin, Caverna, Fields of Arle, Hallertau and Le Havre are my top 5 Uwe games. I've never played Merkator, but would love to.
Thank you so much for your excellent coverage of Uwe’s games! One of my favorite designers. I have a hard time ranking his games, but Agricola holds a special place for me. It was our first “heavier” game, and it’s still great. With the big expansion and the deck expansions, there is just so much variety. I also enjoy Caverna a lot, and I am curious to see how the expansions change it up. Le Havre is excellent, though I only play it on the app. Fields of Arle is another one that often feels like a favorite. I adore Glass Road! Caverna Cave vs Cave is fun. Agricola All Creatures is nice enough, but we both decided we would rather play its sibling game. Loyang is one I play on Yucata. Not a favorite, but fun to play. Oranienburger Kanal is great so far, though I have only tried it solo. Atiwa is nice enough, but fell a bit flat for me. I think it is missing the variability I love in his other games.
Thank you for this series. Agricola, Caverna and Feast for Odin are in my top 10 games personally. I did not realize there were expansions for Caverna and Feast for Odin, I do have quite a few for Agricola. Love your content keep up the great work!
Ora et Labora just has a set number of rounds, there's no specific 'end game trigger'. Pretty standard. It is long but can be done in under 3 hours even with 3 players.
Congrats on finishing the series! My wife and i also adore a feast for odin, definitly rosenbergs nr. 1 design for us. Bohnanza is also such a classic, but can cause some family feuds 😂
Congratulations on completing the series. What a massive undertaking. I’m really looking forward to the mind clash series when it arrives. Regarding Agricola, I’ve played Agricola a lot. And I don’t think its as tough as people say it is. It’s tight but with experience I’m not scared of the game. What I appreciate most about it is that as your engine develops it remains tight - props to Uwe for programming it that way. I don’t believe you two have tried the farmers of the moor and I’d recommend that. It lifts the game. I think it’s back in print now but was hard to get for a while. I’ve only played four Uwe games and I’d rate them: 1. Agricola 2. Feast for Odin 3. Caverna 4. Ora set Laboura But I’ve only played Ora Et Laboura once and I need to give it another couple of tries.
I love Ora et Labora. Does't play any longer than Feast, Le Havre, or Caverna for my group. I wish they release more building packs for it. Very excited to see more Mindclash play throughs!
I appreciate the reviews because I do really like Uve's games. I have La Havre and Agricola. I got Fields of Arle, which is now rare, off the used market and I need to try that. If that goes well I'll be looking to get Feast for Odin.
Thank you for this helpful and enjoyable information! My own Uwe list is shorter: Nova Luna, PatchWork, Bohnanza, Agricola. All four are very good. I especially like the you-used-less-of-this-resource-so-you-go-next mechanism of Nova Luna and PatchWork. My kids picked up great negotiation skills from playing Bohnanza very early in life. The very many cards of Agricola provide direction and variation.
Congratulations on the conclusion of an epic endeavor! Fields of Arle and Oranienberger Kanal are both on my watch list now, thanks to you two, and I feel like I've learned a lot about what board gaming can be. Looking forward to seeing what y'all do next!
First...great series. There are a number of Uwe games I havent played, but of those that I have AFfO would be my favorite. Le Havre is up there too. And my wife and I enjoy All Creatures Big and Small and yes, the myriad of other buildings really change the flavor of each game. Caverna is next on our list...we have it...just havent got it to the table. Shelf of "opportunity" is a real thing. I sure hope the moving out of your house for "a couple months" is for a "good" reason like some remodeling. Or an extended trip...though your phrasing didnt sound like a trip. Whatever, I hope it goes well. Lastly...quite looking forward to Anachrony. Saw a play of it some time ago and i figure you two will make it shine in a playthrough.
Great video and series! I'm not the biggest Uwe fan; I find most of his games good but not really for me. However Oranienburger Kanal is by far my favorite. I love the decision spaces it offers, how fast it plays, and just how satisfying it is to complete.
I’m right with you on most of your rankings. I’ve played the games mostly solo and my ranking would be: 1. A feast for Odin 2. Caverna 3. Agricola 4. Fields of Arle 5. Nusfjord. They are all games I enjoy playing solo- Right now I’m picking up some new Agricola decks and trying out the new cards. Such a fun puzzle. I’ve had Caverna the longest time- such great feelings about it and learning how to use the different tiles. Thanks for all the work that went into the series. I’ve been hoping that O Canal will be available in the US, it looks like one I would like.
Thanks for the list! Many of these we haven't played, but we'll probably look into now. I feel bad for hyping up Atiwa! It's a game I've really enjoyed, but from the perspective of someone who is very frequently teaching games to newer players.
1. Feast for Odin, 2. Le Havre, 3. Ora et Labora, 4. Agricola, 5. Caverna, 6. Nusfjord, 7. Patchwork, 8. Bohnanza, 9. All Creatures B&S, 10. At the Gates of Loyang, 11. Fields of Arle, 12. Glass Road, 13. Hallertau, 14. Atiwa, 15. New York Zoo, 16. Nova Luna, 17. Cave vs. Cave, 18. Oranienburger Kanal
Great series! It literally caused me to buy Nusfjord and At the Gates of Loyang. I have only played 7 Rosenburg games so I'll give you my list and include the one tile game I've played in it. 1- LeHavre, 2- Nusfjord, 3- At the Gates of Loyang, 4- Sagani, 5- Ora et Labora, 6- Agricola, 7- Caverna. I can see why you ranked Nusfjord lower at 2 player. Get more folks! We have never played it at less than 5 players and it's a hoot. For me, Agricola and Caverna are pretty much the same, Caverna just adds more stuff and makes the game longer. Neither are bad per se but I can see both being moved down easily as other new ones come out. I've always wanted to try Feast for Odin, held the box in my hands a few times but it's sooo expensive, looks overwhelming and is only 4 player which is problematic in our normal 5+ player group. I can't find the Norwegians expansion either which is kind of a bummer. My wife and I are considering some 2 player games now as our group, which has been together gaming for 45 years now, is aging. It's getting harder to go out! LOL. Keep the great content coming!
Thanks for doing this video. I like to think of Uwe Rosenberg as the Michelangelo of boardgames. If Agricola is the refinement and precision statue of David, then A Feast for Odin is extravagantly dazzling Sistine Chapel. The man has range.
Hey, Love ya'll's videos, especially this one. In my opinion, Uwe's best game of all time is Glass Road (all player counts, 1-4). I love that it has all of the complexity of a great engine builder, but in a really short period of time, and the resource wheels keeps me constantly on my toes. After Glass Road, I'd put Feast for Odin, Agricola, Patchwork and Bonanza!
I need to give A Feast for Odin a few more tries. Because right now my list would look like this: 10/10 1. Agricola (with Farmers of the Moor) 9/10 2. At the Gates of Loyang 3. Ora et Labora 4. Glass Road 5. Caverna: The Cave Farmers 6. Hallertau 7. Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small 8/10 8. Bohnanza 7/10 9. Le Havre 6/10 10. Fields of Arle 11. Patchwork 12. Atiwa 13. Bohnanza: The Duel 5/10 14. Caverna: Cave vs Cave 4/10 15. A Feast for Odin
Love what you guys do! Don't apologize for taking 'long'. You guys rock
Thank you!
I am fairly new to the board game hobby and you guys were a big part in my Uwe Rosenberg discovery. He is now my favorite designer
That's amazing to hear! So glad the videos have helped you discover some excellent titles!
Being new to board games, I would like to recommend Concordia. Not a Rosenberg game but one of the all time greats. I hope you get a chance to play it.
@@timu.6452 Thanks! Concordia really does look like an excellent game. It's on my very long list of "want" games :)
I've been in it for 20 years and never played any of his games 😂
@@mickyjgreen you should try one!
I just wanted to thank you for your content. Your videos are of great quality and you create them in the speed YOU find enjoyable and not too stressful. They are always my go to for game reviews and playing! Love them!
Yay!! Glad you were able to film this!! It's been a journey, congrats on seeing it through! Thanks to you both, I managed to learn Agricola, Fields of Arle and Glass Road!
Awesome! So glad the videos have been helpful for you. Hoping to cover his future releases too as they come out.
It's great you've been consistent enough to finish this series. Thanks a lot for the great work!❤
Thank you David!!

Time to get started on David Turczi games ;)
10:08 is the reason Agricola will be in my collection forever. Replayability is through the roof!

It feels like you are getting nowhere, and suddenly you are filling in those tiles.
Me! He absolutely looks like Paul Hogan!😃
Awesome content!!!! =) Keep going please!!!
Thanks for taking the time and effort to run through this Uwe Rosenberg series!! Any chance of tackling Vlaada Chvatil in the future…?
I haven't played many of his games, but a Feast for Odin is one of my all time favourite games and it's always nice to hear other people loving it as much.
Speaking of my favourite games, very excited for Anachrony coming up on the channel in the future.
I can’t believe Hengist didn’t make the list! ;)
I loved this entire series! Thank you! Surprisingly, neither my husband nor I loved our play of AFFO but we need to play again and add Norwegians. Nusfjord was our intro to Uwe so it holds a better ranking for us. We love them all though really!
"let's have some superlatives, shall we"
i love this line
Thanks so much for this series! Such a great concept and a what a service you have done to us board gamers!
Can’t wait to see you revisit older games as I do feel content creators disproportionately speak about ‘the hotness’ and I’m much more interested in the ‘classics’.
Great work as always! 🎉
I've only played:
Agricola
Le Havre
At the Gates of Loyang
Caverna
Agricola all creatures big and small
Bonanza
Ora et Labora
Glass Road
(The first 3 being my favorites)
So my experience with Rosenberg's games is from 2007 to 2013 (except for Bonanza).
@@darkrooster5751 Thanks mate :) Bought Agricola. Now just got to talk people into playing it with me!
No need to apologize for how long it took! Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into the videos!
Dr Knizia next then? See you in 70 years......
😅
Yayyy, I’ve been so excited for the culmination of the series
In that respect my top tier (6 games) for Uwe would be (in no particular order…):
- A Feast For Odin
- The Fields of Arle (have you played Tea & Trade - it is superb, and there is the possibility of further expansion from the designer of Norwegians)
- Agricola
- Caverna (I designed an ‘extra-player’ bot last year which can be used for solo or to up-the-player-count for multiplayer games - it needs some more run throughs to improve, but it works very well)
- Bohnanza
- Le Havre
I’m keen to hear your thoughts on Anachrony too - another game that competes for top tier ranking across all games.
Great list. Everybody forgets the absolute Uwe banger: The Difference between Women and Men published by Kosmos Games.
This series has been the best! Thanks for the investment of time and effort
Can't believe that I started following this series a few days ago and today you put out the epilogue, I love your chemistry and how good your set up!
Hi Monique and Naveen, awesome achievement and thank you for the effort and your thoughts on these games! 🎉❤
Guys, you have to play Agricola with Farmers of the Moor. The game gets less punishing, but becomes even deeper! You might like it even more.
I agree! It really enhances the two-player experience
wooooo! its finally here!!! been waiting for this episode literally over a year! 👍
I've played several hundred games of Agricola. There's a pretty healthy worldwide competitive scene for it on Board Game Arena.
Totally agree 1000% about the artwork! It’s so cozy!
I played 20 and here is my ranking (solo)
My ranking after playing solo mode in all these games
1 A Feast for Odin
2 Glass Road
3 Hallertau
4 Nusfjord
5 Oranienburger Kanal
6 Fields of Arle
7 At the Gates of Loyang
8 Ora et Labora
9 Sagani
10 Le Havre
11 Merkator
12 Atiwa
13 Caverna: Cave vs Cave
14 Caverna: The Cave Farmers
15 Agricola (Revised Edition)
16 Nova Luna
17 Tulpenfieber
18 Reykholt
19 New York Zoo
20 Cottage Garden
Naveen not that I needed another reason to like you but my two favorite Uwe games are Le Havre and Feast for Odin. Great video both of you! So much fun to see your feelings after looking at so many games from one designer!
Amazing effort to get this series finally done! I have not got any Uwe Rosenberg's copy yet. But having watched all the playthroughs, I would def go with le Havre and Oranienburger Canal. Hope I would be able to find a copy some day soon. Thank you so much to help us discover his games!
Thanks for this series! It's been fun to watch a lot of these episodes. Your content and vibe are so appealing.
Thank you so much for this series and all the work you out into sharing all these wonderful games with the community! A Fest for Odin is a game I would love to try next and it seems like it might very well be worth it! Thank you so much!
*Here's my ranking:*
Caverna: The Cave Farmers
Agricola
A Feast for Odin
Fields of Arle
Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small
Caverna: Cave vs Cave
Patchwork
Le Havre
Oranienburger Kanal
Atiwa
Ora et Labora
Glass Road
New York Zoo
At the Gates of Loyang
Been enjoying this series! My favourite designer!
Would you consider doing a designer series on Vlaada Chvátil at some point? That list would be insanely varied and entertaining.
Uwe Rosenberg is one of my absolute favorite designers... if not my favorite! ☺ Really excited to see your rankings! (A Feast for Odin at #1, maybe?) 🤞
Hey Dave!!! Yeah Rosenberg is definitely one of our Top 5 designers!
@@BeforeYouPlay My guesses for your other four favorite designers would be: Vital Lacerda, Alexander Pfister... then maybe Dávid Turczi, Simone Luciani, or Daniele Tascini? Maybe Shem Phillips, too? 🤔
By the way, here are my favorite Uwe Rosenberg games I've ever played (including on BGA), although I regrettably haven't played as many as you both have!
1. A Feast for Odin
2. Glass Road
3. Hallertau
4. Agricola
5. Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small
6. Patchwork
7. Nova Luna
8. Framework
9. Applejack
10. Bohnanza
Thanks for this video. Motivated me to try these games as I have only played Agricola, patch work and nova luna. I have to catch up!
Y'all are great ❤
The video we've been looking forward to since you started this!
I enjoyed this. Have you thought about doing one for the Feld games?
I´m so jealous that you guys manage to play all those games, I´m looking for them, trying to own them all.
What an interesting and unique project, it has taken time because it's a massive ask. Very nice way to round it off :)
This series was amazing i love Uwe games.
I ALMOST buy Reykhold several times, it goes on sale here in Brasil a lot(Around R$ 200,00) and now i know im not going to do that, I'll buy Halertau instead.
Thank you for all the information on your videos. Board game here in Brazil its VERY expensive, Agricola 15 for example cost R$999,99 (no joking) and the minimum wage here its R$1300,00
That's why your videos it's so important, so people don't waste a lot of money on games that they would not like.
Again, Thanks for your vídeos, it helps A LOT.
Love you guys. Always so enjoyable hearing your thoughts. Such a great series and what an accomplishment! So we’ll done.
I think you’re right! I rewatched it about 2.5x and either i’m horrible at listening along or they left Patchwork out?
I was thinking about when you guys are going to release this one! ❤
I’ve only played four Uwe games and I’d rate them:
1. Agricola
2. Feast for Odin
3. Caverna
4. Ora set Laboura
But I’ve only played Ora Et Laboura once and I need to give it another couple of tries.
Looking forward to seeing what y'all do next!
super thanks for the great effort on editing, I love your content.
Very good list. I love you guys! You work so well off each other.
I’ve absolutely loved this series.
It’s definitely made me add a few games to my want list 🙂
Brilliant, brilliant video review of a master game designers games!.
Very entertaining and informative, thank you ❤
I’m right with you on most of your rankings.
Oooo I LOVE bohnanza! Great video :)
I want to say thank you for your time! ❤🎉😊
I haven't played all of Uwe's games, but of those I have played, Hallertau and Caverna are my favorites.
Great work. And thank you for investing so many hours of work 👍💪
Great job guys!
I love your videos! Thank you for all that you do
I need to give A Feast for Odin a few more tries. Because right now my list would look like this:
10/10
1. Agricola (with Farmers of the Moor)
9/10
2. At the Gates of Loyang
3. Ora et Labora
4. Glass Road
5. Caverna: The Cave Farmers
6. Hallertau
7. Agricola: All Creatures Big & Small
8/10
8. Bohnanza
7/10
9. Le Havre
6/10
10. Fields of Arle
11. Patchwork
12. Atiwa
13. Bohnanza: The Duel
5/10
14. Caverna: Cave vs Cave
4/10
15. A Feast for Odin
