Thank you for putting this together. This was my first time hearing about Dialogic. I wish there was some time spent demonstrating what Dialogic does. You showed a clip of using the tool itself, but there was no payoff.
yes that's true, sorry I should've showed the end result!! But I really recommend Dialogic, and I'm working on a Dialogic Tutorial currently so I hope that can help!
I was currently planning on an Isometric horror game with cameras that are somewhat similar to Silent Hill and then this video got recommended to me! And the first plug in sounds fitting for my game! Thank you for showcasing these!!!

FIRST: What I wrote below is translated from my local language, sorry about that I'm not very good at English, I watched your video with subtitles on, but everything is fine, I can understand nearly 70% of what you said. Below are just my feelings over the past few days translated from my local language. Hope you can understand what I say... While I was doing a project for school, I didn't know what to do. I watched a lot of videos on TH-cam but most of them I didn't understand very much, it was quite complicated and very difficult to grasp. Many days ago, I saw your video "How to Make 2D FARMING game in godot", I just tried to watch it and I felt surprised. Everything is not so difficult as I thought, I learned a lot. Many of your videos, especially the farm series. In each episode, I follow you and create many new things for the game that I can do within my ability. I also took notes on things to note. , how each function works. I feel very happy to create something new from your tutorial. I hope you will have a lot of luck and success in life.
I hope what I am saying now is able to be translated into your local language good! Thank you it truly means the world! I'm sitting a my computer at 10pm smiling at this comment. smiling at what you've been able to do, passing through the obstacles to finish your project! It means the world that my video are able to help, as my only goal is to break things down in a way that anyone can understand even people who have never even heard of a game engine before. You've made my night, You have this determination within, a never quitting energy and I know that you'll do something amazing in life. I wish you the world, I'll be rooting for you, you've inspired me tonight and I can't wait to see where you go, Goodluck brother
@@dev-worm Just another account of mine. I want to tell you that the project I made as mentioned above received 8.5 points. It's been very good for me, just once again I want to thank you so much for inspiring me.
I’ve been having issues getting limits working on my camera 2d, and phantom camera works straight out of the box with its limit on node. Thank you for recommending it!
I'm trying to make an April fools 3d game and it's my first time making one I have my player 3ds setup and everything so I'm going pretty Big for my first 3d game so I'm going to keep watching to find easier and less confusing ways to make my game. Great video! 👍😊
thanks!! it means the world! I'm working on improving the way I speak especially in tutorial based videos so it is easier to understand and the viewer can learn something and have a bigger take away from the tutorial so they arnt just copying but learning!
ah you are so right! Ill work on changing that soon as it could be miss leading, but thanks for pointing that out! I guess that icon was already in a folder from when I use to used Nathans Dialogue Manager!!!
Hey! It's been a while since I've started watching your videos, even though I don't usually comment on videos. Your "how to make an rpg in Godot 4" series really helped me when starting to use Godot 4, especially to understand how YSorting works!! I also really like these videos where you showcase addons, you should make more imo! Really like the Gaea addon (especially after I saw the lead dev post updates on some discord servers on how they made the addon better time to time), I plan to use it in my game in the future. I also made an addon, called quest system, and as the same suggests it's an addon to make quests, it'd be nice if you'd check it out! Having feedback is something I care a lot, especially when it is about giving the community new tools to make godot even better. Again, keep up the good work!!
Thanks for the video, a criticism to help is that you never actually said the name of phantom camera (you did put the name in text at the end, thanks for that) saying the name will help it register in memory for the viewer. Thank you again for the video!
I think you should always mention version control like the git plugin. I'm pretty sure that most newbies aren't professional devs and don't know about it, but it's really helpful to play around, refactor some code, etc. You can always rollback your changes. It helps me a lot to understand how gd script works.
Gaea is for sure the way to go!! when you first install it you'll have to play around with it for a little bit trying to understand how it is all put together but once you have the hang of it then it is so amazing!
I've used the phantom camera addon myself, it's pretty straightforward in most cases. But 2 months ago I ran into a big problem regarding physics objects. I reported the issue on github, the addon author was very nice and he plans to rewrite the addon (as well as godot itself transitioning to jolt physics as default) No ETAs sadly, but it's still very nice to get direct support/feedback
yes I agree.. im sorry to hear that! I had no idea it was a thing.. hope they can start working on it.. so is the issue holding you back? did you just drop the add-on complete and try and do it organic?
