    Everything's spot on. I'll add few superstitions if you don't mind. 1. If you forgot something at home, like your mobile, money, whatever and wanna go back to grab it you have to look in the mirror being there. I don't know what it means, but all babushkas do it. 2. Black cats. Some people stop going forward when a black cat crossed the road just in front of them, they try to bypass this line by changing direction. 3. Don't wear one shoe, one sock, one *whatever you say. They say that you may break up with your girlfriend, lose your friend, etc. 4. Don't cut your hair, don't sew, don't do anything on holidays like Trinity Sunday, Easter, etc. Just relax and take a rest. 5. Sit on sofa before a long trip, journey, etc to get to your destination point having no issues. 6. One of kitchen utencils falls down on the floor. You should be aware that someone's coming, wait for a guest. If it's a spoon, fork, or something of fem. gender it will be a woman. If it's a knife, ladle or anything of masculine gender, then it'll be a man. 7. Don't sit at the corner of the table while eating. You'll not get married 😂. 8 Don't buy watch or knife as a birthday gift ) So, probably there's something more to add, but I have to think hard to recall it. Maybe someone else will help you out with that.

    • @ВікторТринчук
      @ВікторТринчук 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      About the corner and the marriage dependency it has a simple explanation.
      Traditional ukrainian home had benches instead of chairs. And in the corner they are intersected. As the traditional pants of ukrainians are not tight, men's testiculs may appear in between the benches and sudden castration may happen if somebody sits on the bench that will prevent you from marriage 😏

    The thing about the check rooms is very concerning (to check your bag, etc.), I mean will you honestly check a $2000 laptop and trust them with it? Even if it contains sensitive work documents and all? This is a serious question, as the lifestyle I live is to go out into the city for a whole day at a time with my backpack, work a few hours here and there at coffee shops, and then shop/eat out/theater etc. rarely making a plan to stop at home and waste time in between. I'm not meaning to imply anyone is dishonest, but if you have a brain at all you would never do this in Colombia while in Korea you would and you wouldn't even hesitate with a $5,000 bag. So I wonder which type of country it is

    • @iuriikoboziev7263
      @iuriikoboziev7263 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The grammar is very similar. About 40% roots are common, but the phonetics is pretty different and most likely, you won't be able to recognize many of the common roots by how they sound. Paraphrasing, take Russian language, replace about 60% roots, use different phonetics, and you'll get Ukrainian.

    • @icebergrider
      @icebergrider 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, etc are all in the same family and are very similar like Spanish and Italian. Except Spanish and Italian have more similarities linguistically than Ukrainian and Russian just as a comparison.

    Could you make a video about Ukrainians and having children and family. I don't want children myself but even older woman approaching 40 still want children. I love ukraine and it culture but woman that still hope for a baby at that age is a bit strange. For me I wanted kids before my 30 birthday. I'm 43 now and I don't want a 20 year old when I'm supposed to be a grandfather at 63. I know having kids there is some sort of insurance to have children to take care of you when your old. In the West most children put their parents in retirement homes and forget about them..so in the West having kids make no difference since you end alone anyway.

    What not to do in Ukraine: I heard that an American should not cuss Russia while in Ukraine, even if the other person is an ethnic Ukraine. Americans have found ways and means of finding sources for newer loans for Uncle Sam, for instance, to take out a loan of one trillion dollars. The average American in my home state of MS knows that making false allegations against Russia results in more defense jobs in our neighborhoods. Anyone who want some shape or form of modern food stamps near Batesville in my state, just has to say "I hate some Russians of the cold war era." Don't say this in the middle of the road in Ukraine, though. The three words "I hate Russians" results in loan approvals and free food stamps in my area, if not the whole of America.
    When my cousin said "I hate Russia", in the middle of Kiev, he ended up having a bloody nose. He is not sure if he was punched on the nose.

I do not know why they are having a civil war ...it makes no sense .... of course deep down it's about some people's economical interests ....

      @@josephgauci2740 I'm sure Ukrainians would be happy to make peace if Russians stopped killing them. The reasons for this "separation and conflict" have a long historical basis and they are permanent...Ukrainians and Russians are NOT 99% similar. They have very different attitudes about a lot of things. If ever you "visit THE (?) Ukraine too one day", you will see that.
