- Kyoto is known as Japan's cultural capital, with countless shrines, temples, and Japanese gardens filled with maple trees. Kyoto is also considered to be Japan's most beautiful city and was the Japanese capital until the government moved to Tokyo in 1868. We had such a wonderful time exploring Kyoto. Come with us as we share some of Kyoto's beauty with you....

Hi, we're Beth & Paul from Brisbane, Australia and we love to travel!
Paul retired on 28th February 2020 and on the 1st March 2020, we set out on a 6-month adventure around South East Asia. This was a well-planned once-in-a-lifetime travel experience! It was our intention to show you how you can have a great time travelling without spending a fortune.
Our timing wasn't great - with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and subsequent global turmoil less than a month into our trip.
Until it is safe to travel internationally again, we turn our focus on travelling around Queensland and sharing everything our beautiful State has to offer!
We do our best to post our videos frequently 😊

Super duper camera work. At times it almost made my chest hurt because the scenes and sounds were breathtaking.

Hi Gary and Caroline 😊 We thought of you both last week when we did the platypus walk and …saw the platypus! We saw a different one…a baby, twice the week before. It really was bad luck that we didn’t see one when you were here. It’s Spring here now and maybe they’re more active at the moment (?) Anyway, we hope you and your family are well and yes, Kyoto is both fascinating and beautiful ❤️

You only visit Japan once until you want to return and end up visiting for the 5th time. Once is never enough so much to do and discover.

@@marvin8887 We have been home for a few weeks now and aren’t aware of any issues restricting travel in Japan.
we both absouloutly loved it beautifull music sceneery and the clothes were fun monkeys ,john was there after war but he saw heroshima aftermath he was very busy there and cant rember much about dates at 97yrs he and i love your videos

Harriet and I had wonderful time in Kyoto as well. Got to love those toilets We learned to use it well. Traditional Japan in every way. Great video . Love the music. Looking forward to the next vlog.

3:49 Something unique. That bamboo pole serves as a no pass zone. Did you noticed anyone hopped over it during your trip?? 5:21 I have never seen this type of vending machine. Though I have seen on several occasions where some of the vending machines switch over to emergency mode where no coins are needed during natural disasters.
Hi @ducsue 😊No, the gardens were very quiet when we visited and we didn't see anyone trying to hop over the bamboo fence. Wow! We didn't know that about the vending machines! Thanks for watching!
