thanks Drew. Your lessons are enlightening. I'm starting to learn now that in order to speak english is to have it as your own language. Like what we do with our native language. Each of us here in our place have their own way of speaking even if we are saying the same thing.
Thank you for your excellent guidance. My IELTS speaking test will be tomorrow morning, and I prepare to go through all clips I marked before. Hope good luck for me!
hello Drew since I started watching your videos now my English fluency is getting better I've been watching for 2 weeks 1 hr a day, your pronunciation is great thank you so much.
Hi , Mr drew how can i thank u !! I think there is a magic in your lessons , I went through ur advanced listening practices lessons thus the conversations and movies and songs comes very clear. thanks again and waiting for more . shehab....
I like your videos. I've seen it about 1 month and i already realised a fluency developping at my talking. I am reading a book as you recomended and it's called the traitor but this book is a kinda old so i think that the expressions are a little bit old as well. but i'll keep reading and buy another with current speeches soon. anyway, make more videos about your life experiences and histories about yourself i loved the REJECT THE MENU, I learnt a lot watching that! thanks
hi everyone, i just know to Mr. Drew. i found interesting in his guide, and see your comment I feel more belief in his course. however, i want to get your advice if you already used his course, is it helpful to improve your english skill? i'm really in need your advice. thank you so much.
The notification sounded out and glad it was yours. Believe it or not, my small desk is right at this moment functioning in a dual role- computer desk-cum-dinner table. Thanks for the terrific lesson.
Hi, Drew. It's been a long time since I've started to watch your videos. Three years, I guess. And they really help me a lot, also because you speak clearly and your pronunciation is perfect. I agree with you that to get into a conversation in any language is important to get fluency and make it more natural, with no stucks, as the days, months and years go by. But what should we do when we live in a country (Brazil) where many people still think that speak English is a privilege to a few ones or isn't necessary? As you know, we've hosted the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games this year, and even with these global big venues being announced to take place here some years ago, most of the Brazilian people didn't get prepared to this in terms of learning a new language. As a result, we don't have people here to speak with in English on a daily basis, once English is not considered our second language in Brazil. We simply don't have a second language here, just only Portuguese, and that's the reason we (a few people) only use English at our work offices, and only if necessary. In this case, what should we do to get more fluency if we don't have opportunities to get into a conversation whenever we want?
Hi Alexandre, my recommendation for you would be to find an online language partner and/or language teacher. There are lots of great websites that can help you do this for free, or for very cheap. My favorite one is iTalki. I use it all of the time :) Another great option is to use a website called Meetup, where you can find other people in your city that are learning English. That way, you can find people who also are interested in learning/improving their English. I speak Spanish quite fluently, however I need to practice it so that I don't forget. In my city, I have found some meet up groups with people who speak Spanish, and I am able to practice. I have also found great language partners + teachers on iTalki and they help me practice & improve too. Hope this helps!
Hey Drew I don't need subtitles I understand everything what you say neither I get stuck while speaking I'm an English teacher in India I just want english speakers to practise more Would you like to help me ?
now i have some ideas how to improve my spoken english. u have to speak , just open ur mouth, speak something, u dont know how to express something like native speaker who speak naturlly . u just say some easy words, but its ok, after u listen too much converstaion between native speakers. then u r family with words, u know how to say natrully, flutently, like native speaker.
Hi Zoz, have you ever tried finding an online language partner using sites like iTalki. or finding people to practice with in your city using sites like Meetup? These can be good options :)
i am not sure about this but when i speak i will become tired to speak is it normal i feel envy to see people can speak nonstop about an hour and still going long and long without even tired when i try its kinda "blehhh blehh blaaa blaa..."
Join the club. I feel this way too when speaking a foreign language, especially when I am new at the language. For example, right now I am learning Chinese and I am living in Beijing. It's hard for me because even after I leave my classroom, my brain doesn't get a break. I need to use Chinese in restaurants, with taxi drivers, at the grocery store...etc. It definitely tires me out!!!
