When Ralph Lee Hopkins talks I listen. One of the best speakers on BH channel.

    Thanks. Got two useful takeouts.
Something else worth taking care of is to master your gear before you go.

This was very useful for an amateur photographer who will soon be heading South. Exposure compensation was a good reminder, and thanks to your explanation I can finally get off AutoWB. My new mantra is "bird against the snow is like bird against the sky, but more so".

This was the most inspiring video I have seen in a long time. I scan only dream about Antarctica and/or Svalbard….if you could choose only one, which would it be? thank you for sharing your beautiful images. Do you have a book?

Are you planning to add the Olympus 150-400mm f/4.5 +1.25x lens to your kit?

Why was everybody wearing a Red Jacket? Given to them on board or instructed to bring it?

My guess is that it’s easy to spot out the red jacket in case of emergencies or they just all have the jacket bc it’s included for their jobs
