Let’s appreciate the fact that apple says use your older charging adapter but the older ones use USB-A unlike the new usb-c cable included

The new ones still use lighting which has been around for yeaaars.
Apple is just cheaping out by not giving us a charger. If they wanted to save the environment, why not give us a coupon in the box for a charger that we could pick up at the apple store? They could be shipped in bulk to the store in minimal packaging that wouldn't have to look fancy, and handed out to customers with no box. I don't care that the charger is not included, I just hate being lied to, then being told that it is for some great altruistic cause when really they are just saving a buck.
Plus they could switch to usb type-c so people could share their cable with all modern devices.

At least they should’ve put price to be $650 (for iPhone 12) and Mini for $600 or $550 not increase it for $100...

I would like to applaud Apple for its environmentally conscious decision to leave the charger out of the box. I have about 12 blocks sitting around the house. Oh wait, the cable you put in the box won’t plug into the block. So now I have to buy a new block with more packaging. Smooth move Apple.

Lmao i find it hilarious how people are too blind to realize this is Apple marketing tactic. If they really care about the environment they would had made the phone USB type C right now rather then their charger input that rarely any product uses other then an apple which they charge a crazy price for just a cord.

It makes them more money, that’s the ONLY reason they do it. Easy to play the environment card when it comes to saving production cost. If not having the adapter cost them, I assure you they wouldn’t have done it.

A lightning cord also give you efficient charging every time. You can’t just pick up your iPhone with the MagSafe charger when done. You have to pull it apart with your other hand.

Even if ur country supports mmwave 5g the us version still won’t work, it will only work in us mmwave 5g cz of the band it supports so ultimately no point of buying us version unless U live in the us

Hope tht makes sense.

Big fan of your videos. I have a small question about purchasing an iPhone. I currently have an iPhone X, and I am considering wanting to upgrade for multiple reasons. Including I have always wanted an iPhone with night mode and I am a bit obsessed with the new blue color. However, my current version plan does not include 5G in the plan (which I honestly don't care that much about), and I am not sure if I want to add it because it's 2020 and it is too new. Therefore, I was wondering if you know if I could purchase the phone in full from apple and just put in my Verizon sim card from my current iPhone without having to pay for 5G? Which would probably improve the battery life without the process of the phone going back and forth between 4G and 5G. If you don't currently know, please try and let me know once you receive the phones. Or do you think I should not bother upgrading at all and just keep my iPhone X for one more year?

Personally I would rather have chosen the brushed metal look for the outer rim, like in the iPhone 4 - much more elegant looking and less prone to fingerprints and scratches. But, given that probably most users will buy some kind of case, that won’t be an issue...
Until the unboxing i really thought it was brushed metal like previous models🙁.. not sure about the shiny aspect myself

While the MagSafe option is cool, not including the charger brick with the phone is B.S. Apple can spin it however they want but, with a phone at these price points there's NO justification for not including the USB C charger.

It will work yes, limited to 5W I believe. Hey at least it will make the battery life cycle longer :)

You can, you could even plug it into a macbook pro charging brick (but that is probably a bit too extreme). The iphone regulates how much current can charge the iphone.
Sadly no 5g here in the uk yet so il upgrade when next years iPhone is out
