    Ahhh i need this shop near my house ! Btw is it affordable

    • @amcgivern1

      Way cheaper even :)

    • @charlottel6381

      Alexis McGivern my parents live near Geneva but is the store that cheap? I mean Geneva is expensive and the alternative shops even more ...

    • @amcgivern1
      @amcgivern1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Hey Charlotte Low ! Absolutely. For example, today I looked for some chia seeds at the grocery store - almost 6chf! I bought the same amount in bulk and organic for 1.45chf :) About 15% of the price usually is for packaging, so you reduce that automatically and also since the store is buying in massive quantities they get it for a cheaper price! I'm young and on a budget and I found switching to bulk has freed up my money for other fun stuff :)

    • @amcgivern1
      @amcgivern1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Btw Charlotte Low there is also one in Nyon and Lausanne - just went to the one in Lausanne today and it was AWESOME! :)

      Alexis McGivern oh really? (I dunno where your comments went) did you try going to Grand Frais (its in the pays de gex, French side) they have pretty good products but I don't think they are waste free...

    Love this video. Too bad this type of shopping hasn't made it to Texas (as of yet). I would so prefer shopping like this!!! Also, what material are your produce bags made of?

      Usually Giant Eagle Market District has a large bulk section! They are a US grocer, not sure of locations in Texas though.

    As a nursing major, I’m just worried about the sanitation? I mean, I guess the boiling process will kill *most* bacteria. I’m just a little neurotic when I comes to germs. Love the idea of no waste, though. I’m trying to do my part in college by reusing my containers and bags when I shop. My college uses little plastic cups for food, I try not to use them, but when I do, I sneak them (and my friends’ cups) back to my room and I wash them and use them to hold my water when I paint. I love your videos, you don’t seem to judge people, just as long as people are trying their best, that seems to be what matters.

  • @puropinchepretty

    You can just memorize/learn the produce/bulk codes or jot them down (make a list of your most commonly purchased). The cashier can type them in at the register & weigh them on the register scale so you don't HAVE TO print out the sticker at all.

    I think about zero waste but most of product they are import from another land. think about how much fossil they use to trasport all this product?
    my idea is to make most of things from ur home and ur homeland product.
    Think about people they were live 1900 without all facilities that we have today.

      That's a really good point. But then you think of countries like Australia where half the country is very very dry and is it ethical for us to grow rice (we do but it's just stupid) or cotton - and use so much water? I think in some instances trade is a good thing, since we can't change the weather!

    I'd love to be able to shop like this but there is literally nowhere in my town where you can buy unpackaged groceries, it's so hard to even find unpackaged fruit and veg. Like why does fruit need packages? Some companies will sell apples in packages as well as loose apples. Like why not just sell all loose apples? It's unnecessary.

    • @anoukeileen8701
      @anoukeileen8701 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Alexandra Filas you can buy those oldfashioned razors, they are called butterfly razors, at a barbers shop or online. There you only change the blade, which only consists out of steel or some kind of metal i guess. But you can use one blade for up to two month. So it is a lot less waste :)

    • @bethany5488
      @bethany5488 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ihate peanutbutter that'd what I do! Sooo much cheaper too. The initial razer is about $30, but the blades are like 50 for $5

    • @CM_CM_
      @CM_CM_ 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just get a standard metal razor, they're everywhere. You could get a safety razor if you wanted to be cheaper and not slaughter yourself like might happen with a buttery one since you really need to know how to use one of them.

    Video fantastique! Les magasins en vrac sont cool en France, ceux du Canada n'ont que des noix et des nouilles :')

      Jordan Jones produce can be bought in bulk even at Walmart. But whole foods is your best option in America. As far as chains go.

      Actually Sprouts is way better as far as buying in bulk at chains; they have way more choices than Whole Foods and I think are slightly cheaper
