As a mom in my 50 I never will want to be a burden to my kids. I don't want to live with any of them. I want to be independent and let my kids live their life. What im going through right now with my mom i will never wish that on my kids. I hope God takes me home before im in need of help

Based on the information, it is hard to judge whether this mother is in the right; I am sure her children have their own side of the story. My take is that she had too many children and she did not have good relationship with them; thus, the trust issue. Based on this story, I would say that this mother was at fault 51%. She should have gathered all of ther children and shared with them her financial matter. Sad story though.

I think part of the problem with aging parents is they need to understand that today's kids aren't going to take care of their parents! If you have THAT much money, put those resources where they can take care of YOU! You knew how your kids are....spoiled, unappreciated, and entitled. Don't expect the kids to return the love unconditionally. Clearly, they only love you when you can give them money. Find new friends, new hobbies, or go hangout at the senior center to occupy your time. You have the money to do so!

I wish I can move back in with my parents! Although the parents say they know the children best, I think I’d be hurt too if my parent pick and chose who to trust with their money vs having a family meeting with everyone to discuss so everyone is on the same page. It will always be they don’t love everyone equally like they claim. This is what a lot of Hmong elders don’t understand. In their minds they love everyone equally but their actions shows otherwise and was miscommunicated in between then gets offended and “sad” the children don’t return the love. Hmong elders are complicated.

Although the parents say they know the children best, I think I’d be hurt too if my parent pick and chose who to trust with their money vs having a family meeting with everyone to discuss so everyone is on the same page. It will always be they don’t love everyone equally like they claim. This is what a lot of Hmong elders don’t understand. In their minds they love everyone equally but their actions shows otherwise and was miscommunicated in between then gets offended and “sad” the children don’t return the love. Hmong elders are complicated.
