Wrench only seen them ONCE 🤬 NO EXCUSES on my end .. 44 yrs old now.. grew up in Seattle /Tacoma right when Seattle music scene exploded .. I saw the YEILD tour in Seattle memorial stadium.. saw Soundgarden at the exact same place with Screaming Trees opening during Superunkown 2nd North American leg.. after Cornell recouped from throat surgery
Seriously, who could dislike this? Five wonderful people, talking about their music journey, people who have created amazing music for 25 years. And some people dislike that. Crazy ...
Heard PJ in 92 for the first time..I was 23, newly divorced with two small boys, helped me through years of pain, joy and everything in between.. never seen them live..on my bucket list for sure!
Just saw PJ for the 30th time at the forum in LA. It's been 32 years since first show yet each time feels like the first because the energy is insane. I was 30 yrs old my first show and now 62 but I'm forever young blasting my favorite band that's showing no signs of slowing down. That keeps me alive 😊❤️
@@markpr73 What did President Trump ever do to you? You don't even know him. So how did the Stimulus Check he sent work out for you? I hope you sent it back. FYI, the Illegal Aliens don't care if old man biden takes away guns - they use Machetes. No noise!
Pearl Jam has provided a soundtrack to my life for over half of it. Their songs are more like memories , each one transporting me to a certain time in my life. I wouldn't be the same without them.
In this video the band talks about songs that make fans cry. For me when Pearl Jam opened with Release at our 2010 show I had tears of joy streaming down. I'll never forget that moment.
All these guys have done over the last 23-24 years for the bridge school is beyond astounding. Kick ass music aside- these guys are just amazing, generous and kind people.
Thank you so much for posting this. I can't wait to see the others. The part about crying hits me, too. Come Back always hits me very hard, right when Eddie sings "It's O.K...." and Mike's guitar sings in...that's it, man. I hope they'll play it when they come to Spokane again.
Thanks so much for sharing the full version with us. Great job Judd for asking interesting questions. Loved getting to hear the guys being so candid and open about their craft.
After all this time... From discovering Pearl Jam in the mid-90s to the realization that JA is a Montana local to now.... I've always appreciated that PJ is honest and loyal to their roots AND values. One of the best Pearl Jam factors is the HOME shows where they play Montana. People usually discount our state, but they put us front & center. They play the local shows, support MT politicians and actions, build up the community, and make it truly a live effort when others don't seem to go beyond the BIG places that bring in $$$. They honestly take their values to their word, as if Pearl Jam is almost a secondary to their causes/homes/places. Yeah most Montanans can tell some Jeff story, but the fact that we don't have to shows that above all they're not FAMOUS first; they're famous second/third/fourth. Honestly I believe that is what makes us unique; Montana owns you. You give us respect? We'll show up for you in ways that aren't famous - we won't ask for autographs or let people hound you; we won't discount because you're Pearl Jam but will because it's on sale anyway; we include not exclude or use. Because PJ remains grounded through the decades, it's not a see a name on a CC and social "So& So is here!!" instantly situation. It's a real, down home, life-living calmness that could only be achieved by them being so grounded and human in their philosophy/existence. For all those reasons, and more, Montana OWNS our love of Pearl Jam in a quiet appreciation and an understanding of the philosophy that they are only people who happened upon the right time and place - but damnit pitch up your socks mentality. So you can analyse and study and pick apart, but us here in The 406? We're the army behind them and you don't want to mess around with us. Side note? When my 11 & 8 year olds listen and dance like no one is watching (when I obviously am) to PJ and I can throw in a "Oh yeah. Jeff and his wife shopped Mom's store and utilized our design services from Miss Kate." moment? It reminds me that them being a 4th Gen Montanan is EVERYTHING. Thanks for keeping the local vein alive throughout the generations.
Love the part about mocking the blues reverentially, SRV is one of my favorite guitarists and the way that Mike incorporates parts of his style so well next to the more punk and hard rock stuff always amazes me
SRV was a special artist. Have you seen the "In Session" special with Albert King? I've watched it dozens of times. Albert King was like mentor to SRV, and it's so cool to see them together.
Pearl Jam is probably the most prophetic band since maybe Pink Floyd, or even the Beatles in their later years, to draw me into a worldview that doesn't make me want to scream every day. Their live shows, especially if you're as big a fan as I am, are like religious celebrations mixed with an utter release of all your hung up emotions! They're genuinely nice people, too. They always project a feeling of calm, charity, and generosity. Their music has matured as they have and their message, though sometimes political, is one of inspiration to be better than we are. I hope they never stop inspiring and entertaining us.
Shout out to X by Eddie. Thank you! And so many other bands. I love that all of these guys love other musicians. They are such fans in a real way. It has always made them very relatable for me.
enjoyed their takes on neil young. i suppose it's good when someone follows their own creative urges cuz it means they're gonna come up with something new and potentially interesting
Kiwi Koopa I’ve always liked that about him, musicians who are very eloquent when they speak sometimes feel like they’re performing even when they’re talking but with Eddie you know he’s just saying the truth
Kiwi Koopa Some songwriters find it easier to communicate through songs than having a conversation with someone. I don’t know how you feel about the band Biffy Clyro but their singer found it easier to communicate depression through songs than talking about it.
Sirens. I have an email Sirens*****@*****.com. It hit me hard, first, the melody Alone. I wanted to cry, I get that. Second, the melody & Ed's voice. It's soo deep. (Not his voice, where he Takes it while Mike & the guys are all giving their all...) Then the lyrics. Soo heartfelt & relatable. Inspiration is all over the place musically/lyrically. Ty PJ.
PJ were rock gods in the early 90s, but the limelight turned Eddie into a huge prick and control freak. Their music has sucked since '94 when they unceremoniously fired their amazing drummer and began playing Neil Young songs. Who cares what they have to say now? They exist now only as a cautionary tale of what NOT to do once you achieve success.
Every guy in Pearl Jam has written multiple hit songs. That’s incredibly rare for a band.
After 25 years, I saw my second show back in Apr. I cried through half the show and screamed my heart out, the whole time.
Thank you.

It’s definitely a life changing experience!
I like how the guys in Pearl Jam don't throw swear words around every five seconds like LA bands do. I respect that.
Probably because they're from Seattle lol. But agreed, it's super respectable
Dads (except for one)
You should see British band members like Gallagher brothers.
Disgusting!
They leave it for the right moments... so it actually still holds weight.
It’s fucking amazing
Greatest band ever. Their sound came about and matured right along with my life. We have grown up together.

Eddie doesn’t just talk, he listens to people. 10/10
God,how I miss the old days when I used to get stoned and sit around with my best friend analyzing and discussing all the great bands we loved.
markpr73 I know those days lol
Concur....
No need to stop man.
Actually, there is. No friends now. Most have walked away cause I don’t support tRUMP. Others have died. It’s just me and my wife now.

what do you mean "our" 2010 show?
1996 Istanbul. I was there, inside the crowd, singing phonetically, with intensity and passion.
All these guys have done over the last 23-24 years for the bridge school is beyond astounding. Kick ass music aside- these guys are just amazing, generous and kind people.
Awesome gathering. I used to love those concerts. The music and the kids it helped.
Great to see a band who just get each other.
Saw Pearl Jam live in Missoula, Mt in mid 90's. Awesome band and Eddie has a very soulful presence live and in his music. Rock on champ.
Hi from Istanbul. Eddie seriously cant imagine how they reach reach so many hearts here.
For example Mike is like a hero to me!
yess i completely agree with you. you guys mean so much to us ❤️
I am a pearl jam fan and I am frome iraq so u guys have fans frome every where :)
vegeta dreamer Floyd 99 the trill in eddies voice and nowadays that's what we don't have in mainstream strong great morals
Wow, how cool. Pearl Jam is being played in Iraq.
Thank you so much for posting this. I can't wait to see the others.

Back in 91/92 these guys changed my outlook on life.
Art within
Dave Abbruzzese on drums. ❤Amazing
Five amazing people who could each qualify for the rock and roll hall of fame on their own merits .. imagine having your band be that stacked
This would be an accurate observation if Dave was still in the band
Cameron is way more deserving of HOF status than Abbruzzese.

Damn, I'm the same age as these guys and seeing them today makes me feel so old.
Im 17 years old and im waiting for 5 years to pearl jam to make a concert in Istanbul. Its 2016 and they planned a tour in US. GREAT!
Dont' complain, I waited 20 years to see them come to my hometown.....cry me a river
IMO "Sirens" is the best Pearl Jam song I've heard in a long time. :)
TEN was my Quadrophenia!
WOW! Very cool Diego...powerful.

spot on album, have no words for sirens..amazing. Makes me happy!
11:51 Stone's Dog... doesn't give a fuck
Take a drink every time Stone says “ you know...”
PEARL JAM IS A GENIUS BAND ... YOU GUYS SO AWESOME.
Shout out to X by Eddie. Thank you! And so many other bands. I love that all of these guys love other musicians. They are such fans in a real way. It has always made them very relatable for me.
Very cool to get an insight in Pearl Jam, the best and most honest band in the world!
Jesus how has it been 10 years? I remember the exact moment I sat down to watch this when it was uploaded... damn.. this life is passing me by
I love Pearl Jam, one of my favorite band on this earth!! So nice to hear their conversations!! 😊💓🤘✌️
For every video I watch, I like to leave a comment so that when we pass on our spirits still live on. High 5 to Pearl Jam-keep on a Rock'in.
I really want the fulllength one, non edited version of this interviews. However, thanks for uploading this. Like it a lot.
I love the way they talk about Uncle Neil.
Jeff is the best his bass lines are legendary
Jeff’s bass wrote this
Geez these guys really adore Eddie. Where would they be without him.
Soooooooo PURE, I love this interview…..
Holy fucking shit. Eddie Vedder knows Split enz.....
I reeeeally enjoy this interview 👏🏼👏🏼tks guys!
36:02 makes me cry. I wish they came back...
18:00 when he mentioned Freaks and Geeks, I was like: "yeah!!! that's where I know him from! I knew that face, he seemed so familiar to me." haha
Stone is a master guitar player.
Eddie & Norm MacDonald need to have a staring competition
5 years!!!! dont know how long should we wait more
Proud to be a Fan for so long ;-) ATB Falko
enjoyed their takes on neil young. i suppose it's good when someone follows their own creative urges cuz it means they're gonna come up with something new and potentially interesting
That was a great 49:47 minutes! Thanks guys!
For someone who is such an amazing lyricist, Eddie trying to get his point across when speaking seems to be a struggle for him.
Kiwi Koopa I’ve always liked that about him, musicians who are very eloquent when they speak sometimes feel like they’re performing even when they’re talking but with Eddie you know he’s just saying the truth

We still know who Chopin and Beethoven are. There's no shelf life for Greatness.
Awesome. Thanks for opening up.
44:18 Judd is definitely referring to the Cable Guy
Well that was awesome.
Lovely.
Good , solid , real interview...nice work...PJ ..For Life..🤙🎸🕺💟🌊🇦🇺
Great interview, Stone was wrong though there are keyboards on "Father's Son"
Te amo muito Eddie Vedder maravilhoso
Best band ever
I always wondered if they discussed their hair dye. Now we know.
This is really interesting, so Judd just interviews them about music, or does the setup switch later on?
Judd apparently unaware of the Ed and Jeff improv, "Bee Girl"...
You guys are so cute. And I'm straight :D
Uh are you sure about that...
pearl jam makes people feel things ok
@15:20 is the interviewer tearing up
I love you guys😘 always
Shame they let Dave Abbruzzese go. They never found that pure energy ever again… so sad
That's what happens when you're not 25 anymore lol...now they're a more power band with Matt, he saved them. Dave should've joined the Spin Doctors 😂😂
in the group part they even sat down in the same order they perform
Sungrazer 1994 Except at a show, Jeff and Mike would switch.
it would be so nice if, as a sirius subscriber, I had access to listen to stone interview judd. because I missed it the first time.
Does Eddie have a calculator watch?
John Carter I do
Must be rough. All the songs they like from this are songs that didn't go over with people apart from maybe Sirens and still didn't play it much.
you guys fuckin rock but mexico city is north america
i'll generally use vedder's shite for toothpaste most days but he cannot pull off a baseball cap
Ty PJ.
23 PEOPLE ARE 23 YEARS OLD! LOL
Spanish subs, please
They have a weird band chemistry. Do the other guys like Eddie? It kind of feels like an outsider for a centre-piece.
yes they like eddie
I think they feel the audience wants to see him in an isolated way.
My Question-during his interview, was Eddie drunk, high, or is that his normal state these days??
♥
Is anyone else bothered by the fact that there is a dead dog on the floor?
.
I hate how you had to change the speed. Its unbearable.
Where's Ed?
comedy is not music, stop associating them please
i know i’m 5yrs late lol but it kinda is: they’re both about capturing an audience

Obviously some do care about what they have to say. I am sure that many bands would like to have their longevity.
