The system and a president appointing mayor and minister of a region must STOP. It doesn't help in the development of the region. For example, if a president wants to do something in a region that is not in the best interest of that region, the mayor and the regional minister are unable to tell the president not to do it. These government appointees also tend to do the bidding of the president and not necessarily things the local community needs. Ghanaians must demand this to change. Mayor or a minister of a region must be voted for by the people of that region. These positions must be given to only indigenous people from that region.
