Holy hell, look how high the action is on that Tele! Respect.
Fender Esquires I believe.
He was probably using,
12 / 52’s on it , and had no idea what the truss rod did….😹
these guys were cool then and NOW
Esquire with the ashtray still on!!!!! Badass!!!!!
I'm just discovering this great guitar band from Belgium in 2020 right here in the USA. That lead guitar could play for anybody.
Proud being Belgian, knew them when I was a teener
Man that kid could play! Cool drummer, too. These guys got it.
The early 60's and indeed the entire decade was a very transitional time for music. And it directly reflected the era with a sound and message that was unique to the times. For a lot of boomers the 60's were their formative years. ✌🏻💙 🇺🇸
Totally awesome, I have collected music like this for nearly fifty years & I had never heard of The Jokers. Where have I been?, this is a fantastic version of the Little Richard classic.
malcolm pelling
They were from Belgium, like me
Very good but not known worldwide
Played in the early sixties I think
@@fransdielis2532 I wonder if they were the band referred to in Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo.
My father was the drummer. He died last year.
@@clintpepermans3166 Your father was a fantastic drummer to be proud of.
@@clintpepermans3166 Sorry for your loss. Your dad looks really happy on this one - a good memory for you.
You can see how high the action is on that Telecaster. Damn!
Actually they're playing Esquires (no neck pickups), but it's a small point. :-)
lol it's just camera angle, pick up your guitar a look it up
OMG that's a 1/2 an inch!
I noticed that also.
Damn!!! Is right :)
Fabulous Jokers 🇦🇺

Ah early 1960's . .Class and fret work. .Swaying ..I walk like this. .
The music was definitely cool back then and now 👍🇺🇸
Love that flat-wound bass!
Yay ... More Jokers Gold !
Rock n roll hootchie coo. Rick Derringer sang about these guys.
I love this guitar!
You don't get music like this anymore.
yea you do... it's right here
Conjunto fuera de serie.nitidez instrumental.Video excelente.
after the band broke up the lead guitar player settled down, raised a family, and became mayor of an entire village nestled beneath his guitar strings. and that village became belgium.
Wait... what? 🤨

These guys have far cooler and hip stage presence than the similar instrumental groups of that era.

LOVIN THE 2 ASH TRAYS !! ONLY ONE PUP ON EACH TELE THOUGH , GUESS THATS ALL THEY NEEDED WITH THE GREAT SOUNDS THEY HAVE !!!!
ESQUIRES MAYBE
@@elephantsmemory3142 They are Esquires. They are now worth about $20,000.00 each!
@@elephantsmemory3142 Yes they are
There was a group called The Jokers they were laying it down.
Ya, RR Hoochie Coo!
You think this is recorded at the old town hall?
J'adore
If there is rock n roll within it will come out regardless of the silly clothes ! Would love to see them playing for fun at home !
Very nice guitar work,
Teles sound great
Those are ESQUIRES...No neck pickup. Best vintage fiddles I have ever played. Owned a music store in Frisco back in '62, there were quite a few Fender NOcasters around back then. Screw today's crap. The youngsters 30 and under have no idea what REAL guitars sound like through REAL tube amps. Bless yall. -J
OMG ... this is amazing !!
TALENT...... :-)
Love the jackets
LEUK !!!
Tema que interpretaban The Beatles y que cantaba Paúl, en sus giras por Hamburgo por allá en 1960, no se este video de q año será.
Love this
와! 잘한다!!
very very nice sound !!!!
excellent
Great +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The Shadows: were they the first, or amongst a number of bands doing this sort of take on popular tunes? There's obviously a history there to be written about.
Shadows first then the Ventures then everybody else!! Hank Marvin got that echo sound best and still does!!!!
@@peteraustin370 link Wray ?
More ears!
love the drum kit
👍🏿
Omg yessssssss🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😭💜
This made me Belg And Roll All Night Long~! l
Fajna instrumentalna muzyka❤️

waar haalden die al die amerikaanse gitaren vandaan ? Dacht dat die hier moeilijk te vinden waren begin jaren 60
temazo! mejor que el del perro dinamita
Never heard of them but there good.
Michael Elsy they’re
Makes me think of the theme to Juke Box Jury...
Go Ronnie GO!!!
Great band!!!! I prefer when he plays the Jazzmaster! (Listen to TABOU)
Fernando Moura
From Flanders, Belgium
Ricardito....THE jocker..✌️✌️👍.,......
A very talented guitarists, are they still around.. Ali/SG
ok, i figured it out. The strings are so high because they are props that were handed to them, since they are not actually playing but miming
Yeah right.....dream on brother
Antwerpse rock 'n rolle
Cool
Cool Daddy-O
Os very goodd
Mirip gaya permainan the tilman brothers
Swing bom
No tempo que música era música!
Abraço 😷
is this surf or rocknroll? how do you call this?
i am in love
Surf rock
Wow Great. Anyone know if it was issued as a single?
Ronnie Sego was a very underrated guitarist.
Who?
Little Richard's version is so good
The lead guitarist looks a bit like a young JFK!
or cliff richard
Sam Sam Music the lead and rhythm white guitars are those Esquire Fender guitars or Nocasters. I think the Teles came with both neck and bridge pickups unless Fender sold with bridge pickups but at that time you can order the guitar with the neck pickup for $35 extra......just curious the neck pickup is missing.
They're Esquires, made about '60 to mid'62.
Matching esquires - goddam!
Love them
The action on his Esquire looks like it's a mile high
Ya get better tone. but it's defiantly harder to play.
It’s not stopping him though
👍👍👍😁
so cool hem,s
The rhythm guitar is not plugged in, right? Still great sound and nice to listen to.
Well even in those days groups had to mime on the TV, but yes a classic tune to enjoy 😎
The whole point of miming on TV was so you'd only have to hire the singer, instead of having a full band or orchestra or whatever. But once "bands" started becoming popular, instead of or in addition to solo artists, you ended up having to have five guys (or four guys and a woman or whatever) on, which sort of took away the financial advantage of miming.
Apek tenan
what is the action on that guitar XD
Back when Aliens played rock and roll
Weird
If you slow it down to the slowest speed and stop it at exactly 2:00 you'll see color for some reason.
anyone knows why?
Most likely because the medium this TH-cam video was digitized off was not in any way related to the original equipment, and definitely not one restricted to black and white. While the footage of this band was recorded in black and white, whatever glitched during transfer tickled the entire available RGB spectrum where some colour bands were highlighted more than others (bringing in more evidence of green and red).
Is that "Jordan Knight" from New Kids on the Block on lead guitar?
LMA UK Yep
gawwd, they're cute. All four of them.
In the Sabre Dance video only the bass player had no cord. In this one neither the bass or rhythm guitar have lol
Silver Jag the bassist does have one look closer
