Nick - I am a minimalist and your system hits the sweet spot! Did I miss a video clip on your battery box?. Would be useful to know how lithiums cope with battery boxes heatwise and what you used for your build. Incidentally on solar panels - I have chosen to install an additional battery rather than another panel. Battery prices have dropped!
Someone mentioned that to me as well, but I only have space for one battery. Well I do have more space but then I "upset the system" by having to move things around😂 My plan was to film the system and include it in the video, but its built in so deep that I can only get half shots which show badly on video. I should have taken some clips whilst putting it together prior to installation. Its an old National Luna grey box that I cannibalised. So the box is designed to hold batteries. The inside of my black canopy is surprisingly cool and then the battery box is located inside a box of its own. Im monitoring the temp on the app. So far so good.
Hi Nick, Solar panel dont always need direct sunlight to charge up the batteries, I lived in europe, also had one panel, although a lot more in wattage and i never ran out. And we all know the days are short in winter in northern europe. As long as they getting UV they will charge. so park under that tree. I already know the wanna be experts will argue with this, but when you know from experience you know.
agree 100% noticed this a long time ago as well, but its a lot faster when its in the sun. I used to park in the shade a lot when I had 2 x 100w panels with a larger surface area. Im just a bit worried with this small panel. Like I said as soon as I get a larger wattage panel that can fit in that spot I will do it.
Hi Nick, is daar enige camp spots in Skeleton Coast NP?
Palmwag of Khorixas is waar mense gewoonlik kamp.
Dink nie ek gaan altyd so gelukkig wees nie.
Happy to see you again ...
Happy to be on the road again. 2025 will be BIG

Nick, what is the app for the revov batt. Thanks
Revov BT device
Hi Nick, where did you buy the James Baroud rooftop tent?
There is a company in Namibia that distributes for Southern African. You can send them an email jamesbaroud@biodynamics.com.na
Nobody will carjack you in that! Can I rent it from you for my SA holidays?
you think....SA is wilder than the wild west
Fit 2 battery 🔋
why?😂
2 batteries is twice the price...
And take twice as long to topup
