  • Fuse Keeps Blowing in SMPS || SMPS Input short Circuit || How to Find Short Circuit in SMPS. in this video i explained and demonstrated how to remove short circuit in any smps switch mode power supply, IGBT inverter welding machine, washing machine circuit board, inverter ac outdoor unit / indoor unit circuit board, sewing machine control board, variable frequency drives VFD, led / lcd / crt tv circuits. Fuse Keeps Blowing in SMPS troubleshooting and reasons for SMPS input short Circuit and how to Find Short Circuit in SMPS.
    in switch mode power supply there are many protection in the line input section, that is fuse, emi filter, RFI filter, first stage and second stage filter, varistor, thyristor, mov (metal oxide voltage arrester) class x capacitor for differential mode noise, class y capacitor for common mode noise, bridge rectifier, smoothing / bulk capacitor, mosfet short circuit or smps driver ic failure can cause to blow the fuse.
    if any protection is short circuited the fuse will damage immediately

    Hi Haseeb, thanks for continuing to educate us.
    I have an issue using relays to switch on smps, after a few weeks - months, the relays become unreliable and won't switch the psu off. I guess its welding contacts together, tried larger relays and rc filter, gave little improvement. Think I need a softstart, if you could teach me what it's is and give me an idea of how to implement this I would be grateful. Psu 240v 400-600 watt units, their only powering 3d printers not huge induction motors or anything.
    Thanks.

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      welcome dear
      in your case if its 600 watt psu, so its input inrush current is very high, which cause arcing on relay contacts.
      you can use TRIC, that will the best solution, and it is long life

    I checked everything, disconnected the output from IGBT, but again after connecting the power it blowed.
    The driver is L6561. Can you help me where the problem is.

    hello, on my tig welder I blow the fuse only when I start welding. If I press the trigger, I can see the the mosfet gate voltage oscillating, but as soon as I start an arc (by putting the welding gun near grounded metal) ....then fuse blows instantly, I I have to change maybe a random 3 out the 10 mosfets......I wish I could manually choose the PWM to very low duty cycle on order to see if the error comes from a bad (too high) duty cycle
