Hi.. Davud, nice to see you in very beautiful city male in Maldives. Yes I think, there is a no doubt MALDIVES is a very beautiful and unic landscape in South Asian region and Male also must be a beautiful city. One of the Nice thing is in this video is lots of women in male drive motorcycles for their day to day life. Sunset is GORGEOUS and thank you for sharing it because one of my favourite things in my life is looking sunset. I think you had a nice chat with a cool guy who is with his baby girl. Selam from Türkiye, Davud! Thank you for sharing your experiences with the public. I've always wondered what life in the Maldives is really like-the culture, the daily life, and more. Your videos capture so much of it beautifully. Appreciate your efforts
Just watched your video. Welcome to Maldives. Interesting to see Male' from a foreigners view 😊 We have Maldivian curry as well. Try Maldivian cutlets, bajiya (Maldivian samosa). Maldivian coconut juice (kurumba), Maldivian mangoes taste different as well. For breakfast we have mashuni and kulhimas and roshi (roti).
That soup is called as Garudhiya in local language, its mainly enjoyed with fried moringa leaves or tuna sambals. You won't be dissapointed😊 Its our finger licking , and obsessed food😊
The best thing about Garudhiya (foam soup/curry, if you take direct translation)... Is when making it, if you keep boiling it till all the water reduces, you get Rhihaakuru (burnt fish gut paste)...
@@SomeoneYT_1 Your dislike for Garudhiya feels like a betrayal. But at least you are not allergic to fish like my cousin. Imagine being Maldivian and having an allergy to fish. 😭

Love this vlog, Davud! I have yet to meet a tourist from Azerbaijan. You are very gentle and respectful. I'm glad you had a wonderful time in the Maldives. And next time perhaps, a local family can host you for dinner. ♥️
Never been to Maldives. But I can see it is a very CLEAN country, I don's see much litter and garbage in the streets, quite unlike other countries in South Asia. I see that Maldives is a very ORGANIZED and WELL LANDSCAPED country, looking at street scenes in Male. Despite heavy traffic, the layout of the streets and buildings very nice and organized, and buildings are very clean and modern, like a Western city. People seem very nice and friendly. Street foods look very clean, and sellers look clean and well-dressed. Overall, Maldives look like a very prosperous, clean, organized and friendly country. Being a Muslim from Malaysia, I certainly would feel very at home in Maldives..
Brilliant video Davud! Definitely shows how life really is in the Maldives with the locals. People from the outside I guess always see the 'typical' atolls with the branching villa resorts...
Fun fact: out of 500k Maldives population over 100k are from Bangladesh, 20% are Bangladeshis. It’s reported it could be approx 180-230k are from Bangladesh.
Gorgeous island place on earth! The fresh fruit and vegetables look so very amazing and delicious, too. I would love to visit there, truly would love experiencing the culture and meeting the wonderful people. Thanks for sharing - GREAT share - one of the best videos I have seen in a very long time (true)! Very insightful.

Hi Davud. I'm so happy to watch your intro to Male in your first vlog of Maldives. Such a nice change from the noise and chaos in your last travel 😂. I love the well-stocked fruit market but I think you should have eaten a better breakfast than what you had taken. Thanks for sharing the lovely sunset view. Hey as a Maldivian watching the roti/chapati you are is called Roshi, and it’s also used like a bread, usually you dip it in with the garudhiya, and then you eat it. It’s really nice to see a foreigner reviewing our country, great video. Wish I met you you were nearby where I live hahaha. @davud akhundzada David, I’ve seen your travel videos. Welcome to my country! Where are you from in Sri Lanka? Which city or town? Now, I’m planning a second trip to Sri Lanka to visit Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Puttalam, Wilpattu National Park, and some other places. I really enjoyed it.
