- The government is set to review the age at which children can be admitted to boarding school. The ministry of education says this is one of the measures that will be taken, to enhance safety in boarding schools.
The PS for education, Bellio Kipsang, said this as he joined the Moi Girls High School community, for a memorial service of the nine girls who perished in a dormitory fire at the beginning of this month.

Age has nothing to do with it. They need fire exits. A dorm should have at least 4 doors one on each wall. Am an adult but if a hall that is full of people catches fire when am awake leave alone being asleep I can be caught up in the stampede. Limiting age doesn't make any sense. How the buildings are designed and fire exists makes more sense.
