How to Tell if Razer Hammerheads Are Fake!!!

- UPDATE: After listening to other peoples experiences, there is aparently different types of packaging depending on the region you are in. The only way to tell as of right now is to make sure you can register the headphones on Razer Synapse. I apologize for the misinformation.

The carrying case and box will change in different manufacturing time....mind is black and has a green zipper and green cloth(i dont know what its called) and when i opened the box there's some extra details on the part that keeps the manual...and my manual is green...registered it on their website and its original.

I thought mine was a fake one after saw this video. But I bought mine in a legal store, I also checked my serial number and the Razer synape says that mine was a real one.

So, I think some of them might be fake, but some of them might be different versions (for different regions) or from different time of manufacturing.... idk

You are right. The box is different because of the region. His "real" version had French wording on the box because it was western manufacturer, and the "fake" box had Chinese because its Asia. So don't worry. As long as you can register the serial and product code online, its legit. You can also chat with Razer Support to double check. So don't worry about it ^_^
Brooo mine is like a hybrid of yours. Chinese letters at the back, but the inside there is a zipper dip. Mine was registered my products in razer site. Im very confused
@Arrowhead Sometimes the surround sound for left and right are wrong in the fake ones. You might want to check that too. Please let me know if that's the case and thank you it was very helpful :)

AceMachineX the one with Chinese is actually real and the one with French and English is fake. But I might be wrong. I'm taking a guess.

I bought mine from aliexpress and the boxing is exactly like the one of the fake BUT i did register it in Razer website and the serial number was valid so i think mine is original because im pretty sure razer wouldnt let a fake product register and yes i saw your update, just to let you know

The only issue now is the sound quality. According to Arrowhead there REALLY is a difference between his Asian Package and European package. Although listening is subjective, he should be getting the same quality with both products. Either the Asian version is a factory defect, or it really is FAKE. As for the registration, mmmmaybe someone else used the serial number already? Unless of course it was fake. If you have time maybe you could contact Razer Support and chat them up with the serial number and product code like what I did. Would appreciate the update!

Tashi Neo The sound quality was noticeably worse especially for gaming. Also the fake ones stopped working after about 2 months.

for you know which one is fake or original just connect with app razer and check is connect or no if connect with app its original
I think the best way to test it is to use your serial number on the product. If your razer products serial number doesn't work on their app then its fake. I don't think you can compare the packaging whether its legit or not. Just because you are asian doesn't mean you're from china.

That is correct! Mine had the exact box that was thought to be fake. But I registered my product as well as double checked with the Razer Customer Support. It was legit. So 2 ways to avoid fakes is to either buy it from a reliable supplier (Be wary online) or if you bought it already, register it right away. Good on you mate.
Greetings Arrowhead. The other difference between the fake and the genuine one (because I have both too) is the logo where the earbuds are. The genuine one the logo has the green on the Razer logo border,while the fake one ,or other region, doesn't have the green color. Maybe is rare,maybe not,but I saw that difference.

I would like to respectfully DEBUNK your theory, AT LEAST REGARDING THE BOX. Mine has exactly the same characteristics with the fake box you mentioned but THE PRODUCT REGISTERED ON RAZER's WEBSITE and Razer Support followed up with the product. Proof: prnt.sc/h1w5r7
However, THIS IS JUST THE BOX. As for the product itself, I cannot say if it is fake or not. The safest way to tell is by REGISTERING YOUR PRODUCT ONLINE.

I agree. Sadly we can't tell if its fake or not until you actually buy it and register your product. To be sure you don't get a fake from the beginning, we should all be vigilant with the supplier. Trusted stores, and Razer Stores only. Online shops and other fishy stalls might be selling counter fits, ya never know. Not a lot of people have attempted to make a video about these fakes, so good on you mate!
