Yes, on the Pacific side, I found majestic but powerful waves. I was surprised by how swimmable Medano was contradicting reports saying that you can't swim anywhere on this side of Mexico. Thanks.
Yes you’re right, but we opt not to do an all inclusive which was $1200 extra for 2 in addition to the room and opt to go dining out to different restaurants on the marina and go on sunset cruises on 2 evenings, and still pocketed $400 that we didn’t spend. We rented a small car which was cheaper than a taxi, left the car in the parking lot all week, and just used taxis in fear of anything happening to that rental. We taxi from the hotel to the venue and walked on the marina back.

The Pacific side is the dangerous side to swim. Around the arch. Medano is known for swimming.
