I was hoping for some magical restoring / future avoidance lore but having a look at a pure replacement job was also very interesting. 😁

typical 'easy' procedure that turns out to be a pain in the butt! My 84 CB650SC (Nighthawk 650 in US) also had drooping front indicators, which I replaced with new aftermarket ones...that drooped even more than the old OEM ones...sigh....and my wiring would not pull through the rubber part...had to strip the black wire wrap and lube the crap out of the wires to get them to pull through. Nothing is esay!

Unfortunately after-market parts are not all they could be sometimes.

I had a VF1000 (A999CNP) in 1993/4 and it had droopy rear indicators then - design feature 🤔

on a budget , could swap them from left to right?

Yep that would work, however these ones are all cracked and crusty so really needed changing.

    Swap them round

      Fixings are then visible.

I could have done that but they were cracked and crusty so replacement seemed a better option.

The fixing hole is on the indicator stem itself, so you can swap them round without the fixing being visible, as long as you only swap the rubber over and not the indicator.

Clik bait garbage... New parts do not fix the issue... how to take a 20 second vid and stretch it into 12 minutes... whatever.

New parts do fix the issue. However how long before the design flaw is manifested again is not the video makers fault is it?
If these are 40 years old the Honda designer may think he was justified.
