I can easily relate to this woman struggling to get help from the cops and no one showed up. Guess what? I'm now a defendant in a criminal court because I defended myself. I don't think it's FAIR to prosecute people in self-defense.
May she rest in peace. These types of stories make me realize how incredibly lucky I am that I got out of my abusive marriage without being harmed. I escaped with my baby in the middle of the night, when my then husband was sleeping, and got out of state as quickly as possible. I was fine, and my baby was fine, and we built a new life together. We were the lucky ones.
Is Dallas one area where people wanted to DEFUND the police?? ☹️ You cannot blame the police, if they are shorthanded AND she told the dispatch person that her ex boyfriend had left? What if they had other calls where attack was still happening?🥺 I wish she could have left and gone for help, instead of still being there when the ex bf returned; but I guess she was too scared -- or hurt. 😭💔😣
There was no one there when I called 911. Nobody is prepared to lend a hand to assist me. Fortunately, I made it out alive. I am not a victim of domestic abuse, but rather a victim of homeless squatters trespassing on my property. As a result of my actions in self-defense, I'm now facing criminal charges. My life may have been terminated if I hadn't spoken up for myself.

Yea I agree with more hiring people to be police officers under new different training. 1 hour and 16 mins is uncalled for and unacceptable. They can spare one or two officers out of how many officers in DFW. I’m saddened by this.

If I hadn't defended myself, I could have died. I wish that this woman had defended herself with pepper spray or any weapon to protect herself.
