i'm not sure if you've seen it before, but in the episode "the poor kid" (s15 e14), kenny's shown standing up for his little sister as well! he's a great big brother
This episode was heartbreaking with Kenny's family and that one moment between siblings was so touching 🥺
Kenny is such a W big brother and truly loves Karen with all his heart, which is ironic considering Kenny was trying to stop his parents from making another baby in an older episode, and there was a time he would go to crazy lengths to stop them, but now he loves Karen.
I half thought Kenny's family was more fully formed at the start of the show, but on checking it (because of your comment) I see Karen's first appearance is actually Season 9, so you're right that's well after the Carman Joins Nambla episode that Kenny was trying to stop his parents. Probably one of my favourite moments from the earlier seasons is what happens to his dad drinking the cocktails :D

I love this episode to bits though
usually happens that way, the ones that don't want a brother or sister love them the most after, even happens with dogs, parents that don't want a dog get so caring and lovely with them in no time.

When Kenny give his little sister the doll, it makes me tear up every time. We don't see her that often. But she is so sweet. This show captures the innocents of children while also showing the cruel and unfair conditions some grow up in. They remain so positive and happy. It really makes you put things into perspective. Some kids have to grow up too fast.
The last scene with the piano music still gives me goosebumps. It feels so dystopian, kinda alien, futuristic... fake?

This episode makes me cry without an expectation - the first time i bawled my eyes out.
NGL, It can be misconstrued as to what Mr. Lu-Kim (The City Wok guy) is calling Kenny. It's either "Dennis," or he's calling him by the long version of his name, Kenneth, and his broken English just makes it sound like "Dennis." I could be wrong tho.
Speaking of Kenny, he has gotten in a fights with both Stan and Kyle's fathers now.

Kenny is just awesome. He a real one. Everybody else in south park, just as it showed in this episode, are plain stupid , selfish, hypocrites, liars, addicts, narcissists, or all of the above.
Kenny is the best character in south park, He's dirty minded yeah, but he also has a heart of gold and is the best he can be to his brother and sister.
Kenny's relationship with his sister has been shown off in a few episodes, the best one is when they get put in a foster home. Check that out if you like his big bro energy. Kenny legit is the best person in the whole show.
That Kenny moment is a great example of how much Kenny genuinely loves his sister and wants a better life for her. That's a great heartfelt moment of sibling love that I think is only surpased by Kenny's kindness towards his sister in "The Poor Kid"

When i was a kid you could smoke in restaurants. There were smoking and non smoking sections and the places were always packed.. in fact they were way busier then than they are now lol
I miss the bars. Getting drunk and being forced to step outside to smoke, especially in winter is a real moodkiller. Hence,I drink elsewhere now. The 90s were great.
Well you knew that Kenny was a good brother from how he protected and watched over his sister as Mysterion. He has always had a good heart and been the best character.

My town has a Good Food Store, same exact thing, and it's the only store that has ever given me FOOD POISONING...not once but 3 times! I'm never touching a thing in that store again.
Organic food is notorious for carrying disease. It's why Chipotle has so many outbreaks.
Don't get me wrong, there's some organic brands I buy, but that's because they targeted foodies back in the late aughts, and places like Whole Foods often carry stuff I can't get elsewhere.

Best part is...in like 2 episodes SodoSopa is completely abandoned. Like they built this big expensive place to gentrify the area and bring in money. Then (like every gentrified area) the new high end prices aren't sustainable with the local economy. People can't afford to eat there every night, people with the money it takes to buy one of the expensive condo's don't want to live in the area. So these area's just start to die out slowly and all the people who approved the building of it are scratching theirs heads like "Idk what we did wrong".

My favorite part of Louisville has been going through this for decades. It used to be kind of a trashy hippie area, but it's been getting richer and richer. That same architecture is used alongside the old Victorian storefronts.
I still like the area, but it's much different from 2007 (and that was already much wealthier than before).

This was such a funny episode! Fun fact, when I came to the United States in 2014, I lived next to a Whole Foods. I heard from someone else in DC that Whole Foods was Boojy. For me, Whole Foods was just... standard. I'd rather live next to McD's or Subway, but Whole Foods was ok.
I've never been to a Whole Foods store before, but I'd like to visit one just for the novelty of it lol 😁. I do have an Aldi's store in my city though. I'm not sure if it's similar to a Whole Foods or not.

I remember thinking it was sweet too, but, it’s something we knew Kenny always had in him….there was a prior episode where he also looked out for his sister, idk if you’ve seen it, I can’t remember all you’ve reacted to…..i think I know actually but if u havent seen it I dont want to spoiler it, but yeah, it was awesome….this one appeared more hardcore-sweet because it was kind of a surprise ending just in a little part at the end so it hit harder…yeah, love this episode having that moment.
