His voice is so huge and his songs are so raw. It's gorgeous and heart wrenching at the same time.
If you want another great Irish vocalist, you should listen to “Working Song” by Hozier. Actually, anything by Hozier. His big hit was “Take Me to Church”, which is amazing, too.

Omg yes more Dermot Kennedy!!!! He is amazing!!! 1st song I hear was Moments Passed. I was forever hooked.
He’s got a bunch of great songs. Rome is awesome. Power over me is one of my faves it’s a more upbeat, bump it in the car, kinda song. Moments passed be also beautiful. You can’t go wrong with any of his songs tho.

Seeing Dermot perform live is something out of this world! Some of his other tracks definitely deserve some reactions too.
I subbed cause I love how much you focus on the voice and lyrics also you definitely react to more Dermot maybe even his lives those are dope. I would check out his NPR Tiny Desk live performance it has three songs that a lot of of people are recommending at they sound great

The first time I heard this song was at his concert. I could feel the bass of his guitar travel throughout the ground into my body. It was dead quiet and all you could hear was the reverb of his voice. I was completely entranced. I didn’t even take my phone out to record, I was just living in the moment. When I left I looked up the song and it has been my favorite ever since.

@@sheilaisssm You're lucky. I saw him once and was unfortunately next to a large group of people who were wrecked and kept screaming over the music. It was so obnoxious and really ruined the experience for me.
Dermot Kennedy makes me feel so lucky to be Irish, his videos and especially that one portrays just how beautiful my country is, and it really shows me the true depth and beauty of the country
We do have a deep rooted sadness or deepness about us that we project so perfectly that can't be faked or mimicked by another country or person

PLEASE check out Prince of Egypt!! The movie is highly underrated and the music SO epic! I do believe that "Deliver us" is the all-time best movie opener, seriously. I think they won an Oscar for best song for "When you believe" as well, and rightly so. I think you would really enjoy both of them :)
