After a few months, the resistive humidity sensor will rust and fall apart slowly and the readings will become random. I highly recommend using a capacitive moisture sensor to avoid this.

You should replace the Sensor with a capacitiv Sensor.. Otherways the Sensor Contacts get toxic over time..
