Question, when you install new blades is it normal for them to wiggle up and down? I know they are supposed to be able to swing from side to side but is there supposed to be up and down play? Mine has quite a bit.

A little bit is okay, not a lot. I would say that if you believe it’s too much, you should buy new bolts for the MOCO and replace those as well. They’re relatively cheap.

Thanks much appreciated. Mine seems to have a lot of play even with new bolts. I think I'll just run it a season and see how it does.

I order mine each fall or early spring from my John Deere dealer. I keep 12 of each as spares.

How do you change the seals under the knives?

Are you talking about the hub under the “turtle”? The knives don’t have seals but the hub does.

Yes. Underneath the turtle there is a hub and gears/splines.

Sorry, I missed your response 4 Months ago! My apologies. The hubs are replaceable but I haven’t had to deal with that yet.(luckily). If I need to tear one apart, you’ll see it on here!
