Congratulations on getting 1K subscribers! I am still using the same old New Holland 499 center-pivot Haybine that I have been using for over two decades. Slow as molasses on a December morning, but it is paid for. 💰Just finished my first cutting, 40 acres, 66 4X6 round bales, net wrap , 1200 pounds and sold for $60 each. HorseHay. Be careful out there. 🤠👍

That’s awesome! Glad you got all of it made! I’m only 15 acres in and weather isn’t the best!

@@RockyAcresFarmstead We are needing rain if there are going to be any more cuttings of hay. Some of the hay auctions are seeing premium alfalfa getting $300 per ton in NE Iowa. With the 90°+F temperatures we are getting, I am glad that I am not still doing 200 acres of hay, like I used to. For wetter conditions, I always use a Lactobacillus hay Inoculant that lets me start baling at 32% moisture levels, about 10 hours earlier than usual, and beat any weather systems heading my way. Let me know if you would like to chat about hay production, anytime. I have been working with forage production for over 50 years and have learned from the best. 🍀🤠👍

Awesome! Good to know! Plan for me is to mow some baylage tomorrow and mow for dry hay too. Fingers crossed that this weather pattern starts to shift!

How do you like the 630 moco? I’m looking at a S300 which is probably the same unit.
