- On the latest episode of the Cedric Maxwell Podcast, Cedric, Josue Pavon, and Gary Washburn discussed the way Kendrick Perkins is perceived in Boston after comments he made on ESPN throughout the season.
Notably, Brian Scalabrine, who was Perkins' teammate on the Celtics 2008 Championship Team, said publically that Perkins wasn't invited to the parade. Scalabrine was joined by former teammates Paul Piece, Sam Cassell, Eddie House, and Leon Powe on a float.

Perk decided that he wanted to join those clowns down in Connecticut. They (and he) thought it would be controversial and increase ratings if he went all in against the Celtics. Perk more than suggested they break up the Jays. Simply saying he keeps it real is understating. He has made a brand out of being controversial and there are times he clearly leans into it for effect (re: clicks). He just keeps it real-enough (as opposed to saying blatantly preposterous things like Arenas) so he doesn't sound foolish.

All people are welcomed to their opinions. But there are consequences to these opinions and you have to be willing to take the backlash if you say something outspoken or controversial. The people on the receiving end have opinions too.
