Reviews Aventador: Says it isn't practical enough
Reviews Huracan: says it's too practical
Isn't the point of a Lamborghini to be a bit rough on the driver? When you reviewed the Huracan you said it was to easy to drive and that detracted from the experience. Where's the sweet spot?
20teamplayer The sweet spot? Here it is! 🙂 In every sence of the Word. 😉. th-cam.com/video/oDcNjGd8oLg/w-d-xo.html
The performante
No matter how much Tiff dislikes this car,the whole world seems no to agree with him.I mean, the sales are absolutley huge, the performance is mind-blowing,and with a roadster version, this is a stunning automobile.Only those +1 mil $ hypecars can keep up with it in terms of design...Oh,and Plato doesnt seem to agree with Tiff either!
obsedatr6 People who buys these cars 99% of them would never drive them like he did, mostly revving stationary in londons trendy parts is about as close as they get to driving the car.
This is what I hate about Lambo's. Only bought by people who want to show off, never bought by people who go to the track.
+LynxAdvert Gotta admit, I'd buy one just for looks.
I'd sooner buy an R34 GTR M Spec Nur, a R33 GTR 400R and a R32 GTR V-Spec II for less than one Lambo
I wouldn’t go on a track with one either. I would go into the mountains with a manual superleggera!
If I could afford one I’d a lot of my time at a track pushing it to its limits
BRING JEROMY BA.....oh wait wrong channel, sorry.
Fern sand At what channel should this "Jeromy" be then?
+RAY NL Top Gear
Riiiiiht?
+Go Geo Joromey Clickson.
apparently the guy who's driving the lambo was on an old top gear with clarkson
1. Lots of cars suffer from understeer at low speed and oversteer at high speed.
2. You'd think they could make a switch for the gearshift, to have it hard when you want that, but good for your neck in normal driving.
3. Time seems to have caught up. When cars like the first Countach came out, this was a brand new sector. But now you have the Veyron and various tuner things that are just as fast, and you have flagship Ferraris that are 900+ hp, and hybrid, and drop dead gorgeous as well, and quite easy to drive. Suddenly, the modern rendition of the Countach is showing its age. You want to keep making the dominant car in this sector, you need to abandon the Countach and start with a fresh sheet of butchers paper... Have a good look at a Pagani Huayra. That's what you want to follow. That's an old school supercar, and a work of art.
Kneedragon1962 The reason THIS car suffers from understeer is cos ppl who buy them cannot drive to save there life, so they equip em with 4wheel drive so they think there god teir drivers.
The problem with Tiff is that although he is an exceptional driver, he wants every car to handle like a bmw m3, as in everywhere sideways, rwd, traditional sports car balance. The thing is despite the fact he criticizes the aventador for not drifting around, THATS THE WHOLE POINT, its all about grip, grip, grip. Thats the reason manufacturers like Lamborghini use awd systems in the first place, to generate more traction and prevent loss of grip. Cars like the aventador are more set up more for ultimate grip than for sliding, so for Tiff to judge the aventador based on its drifting abilities is like judging said bmw m3 on its grip levels...thats not the priority of either car.
The Aventador is a terrible handling car, even Chris Harris had the same views, it's not just a driver's car, it is the perfect car for people who can't drive.
2:26 The Airbus Super Guppy, scrapped in 2020, still crazy to see in the background!
Tiff is a race car driver. He expected more from this high end supercar. Perhaps it should be more aggressive. But they had made this supercar to be more user friendly to most supercar drivers. If you want more edgy, one must buy the SV version.
Tiff is the very definition of inconsistency. He complains about lamborghini going away from their heritage of making cars, that are "deadly" and it's euthanized in the Lamborghini huracan review, but once it's get wild and he's little neck gets hurt, from the 700 HP supersports car, gear change, he whines... Fith gear, let me know when you want someone, with concise opinions, Ill be ready by then.
It is perfect car for me for holidays and Chrismas. Santa, please!
Top gear vs fifth gear
Heinz ketchup vs cheap tesco value ketchup....
tariq sherwani Top Gear is for housewives who wants to compare their husbands with presenters, and kids to laugh when they make campervans (just to annoy you with comment of same quality)
D Gmaz top gear is for people who actually know about cars. fifth gear is bs.
I think you'll find that it's the other way around in pretty much all circumstances. Jeremy, Richard, and James could all be beaten by Vicki, let alone Tiff or Jason. Just review the ACTUAL Top Gear from the 90's. You'll see precisely what I mean.
flyingphoenix113
pls you know better dont you? fifth gear is boring. really boring. and made poorly.
Juan C. So why you are here then? Just to start argument? Go away and watch Jeremy making idiot out of himself by jer#ing rubber doll in Porsche... TG is entertainment show, this is car show. Period.
Freaking awesome buddy keep it up
Nice grip and drift
How can 9ne just not ADORE MR TIFF Nedell
first time seing this show... went straight back to top gear.
Stiff Needell
I love this lamboghini
you had it going so slow on that track! you can easily powerslide in the aventador!
What is this old guy talking about, thus car is built for top speed not for long distance cruising... This Aventador is one of the best cars ever built!!!
Channel Kevin That 'old guy' is probably one of the best drivers in the world.
This old guy in a normal car can run circles around you in a supercar! Aventador is just a terrible car to drive, it isn't for drivers, it's for posers.
@@valkyries_007Thats true it isn’t a track car. Its a car to enjoy, going flatout. He is just doing a track test, makes no sense
@@Kevin_VER I know it's a road legal car and Tiff is just testing it's supercar credentials after all a supercar needs to handle well and the Aventador unfortunately isn't a great handling car! It's just too heavy! If a supercar isn't going to be capable on a track then I don't know or understand the point of a supercar. Also, the Aventador isn't the most comfortable or practical car to drive even by supercar standards. Tiff's points are absolutely perfect here. It's a car good for only posing around, revving it when stationary and creating chaos!
Fair enough review, but Lamborghini appear to have got it right with the SV edition!
cool i love Lamborghini aventador
What happened, Lamborghini? You used to be the pinnacle of performance and intimidation. We revered the people who could achieve the monumental top speeds of a Lamborghini almost as much as we revered the capability of the cars. Then, a few people died, some Lawyers (and Germans) got involved and turned your raging bull into an anemic calf. What happened to your engineering prowess? What happened to the symphonic soundtrack?
Lamborghini- R.I.P. 1998
flyingphoenix113 It's a 700hp V12 that went the fastest any car had ever gone on their track, and you're complaining it's not good enough?
flyingphoenix113 The Aventador is best one of them yet, what BS are you talking about?
Clearly, both of you neither understand nor have driven an old Lamborghini. I have had the fortunate opportunity to drive a Miura S as well as a Gallardo Superleggera (and a Murcielago SV in a few months). Though the badge on the front of these cars is the same aesthetically, the fundamental and intrinsic value behind those badges is completely different.
The Miura S was, and still is, the most intimidating car I've ever driven. It first instilled me with a sense of respect for Lamborghini and the people who owned them. The pucker factor of pre-1998 Lamborghinis is almost tangible. It really has to be experienced first hand. Like skydiving, it is a dangerous but addicting drug that fills the driver with reverence, concentration, and adrenaline all at the same time. I can see what that exact car is worth an estimated 3 million dollars.
The Gallardo, by comparison, was an utter let down. It was about as much fun as a fast 911 turbo or an Audi RS model. It was entirely to sterile. It screamed "I was built by Audi" the whole time I drove it from the unnecessary mechanical complexity, to the boring interior, to the lackadaisical driving experience. I have an FIA racing background, so few cars accelerate fast enough to excite me, and the Gallardo Superleggera was no different. Honestly, a Corvette, or even a Mazda Miata would have impressed me more.
on to your argument. If horsepower makes a car "better," then the Bugatti Veyron should be one of everyone's favorite cars, yet it isn't. The much less powerful McLaren F1 garners more respect from just about any car person because of what it does with what it has as well as what it represents. Driver involvement will always beat out electronic prowess for me. I respect modern Lambo drivers about as much as the modern Prius driver. They are half-way committed to an ideal without wanting to show it, and that sort of hypocrisy is laughable, comical, almost entertaining!
The Aventador, by all measurable parameters, is a good car, but in the hallowed walls of Automobili Lamborghini, it will never go down as a good Lamborghini.
flyingphoenix113 Well not everybody is a professional race car driver like yourself, so the majority of people in the market for a super car don't want to end up wrapped around a pole somewhere.
The reality of the automotive industry is that cars are getting safer, by law. Stability control, traction control, ABS are all the norm now in a production car.
So criticize Lamborghini all you want for not being exciting to YOU. To many though, a 217mph 700hp flame spitting, screaming V12 Lamborghini that looks like a space ship is pretty fucking awesome.
If someone wanted something scary and difficult to manage they would buy a race car..
well sort of. Thank you for the flattery, but even in my best of days,I only competed at the Semi-pro level. Open wheeled reaching just got too dangerous eventually, and though I loved every second of it, I had to give it up.
my problem is that the modern Lamborghini can't even build a race car that scares you. The Sesto Elemento was a good attempt, but out still lacked the charisma of the Diablo GTR, Miura SVJ, and others. The thing is this, Lamborghinis aren't appreciating like they used to. At least the new ones aren't, and that is really worrying. There isn't going to be a market for these new Lambo's term years from now because they will either be A) antiquated technology B) slow, or C) both.
that's precisely the issue here. Fifty years from now, will people buy an Aventador because they WANT to drive an Aventador? I don't think they will. As you've started, 700hp is alot of power.... Right now. In several years, when the Aventador can be beaten by a heavily optioned mustang, what will people say? They will buy the car that is more modern, stylish, and significantly faster. Look at the Jalpa, the Urraco, the Espada, and others. A 40K Lamborghini is common place now because those cars are simply outclassed by modern Lamborghinis, and there is simply no compelling reason to buy them. The Miura, on the other hand, is considered to be the most beautiful car of all time (and is likely to remain so), had the best sounding engine of any Lamborghini to date (sideways Bizzarrini V12+straight-cut gears= aural orgasm) and had the best Lamborghini interior to date. It's exciting to drive, and, therefore, it's worth as much as about 8 Aventadors.
I'm grateful to the owner who let me drive his Miura because he taught me a valuable lesson. The people who can afford an entire fleet of Aventadors don't think about today. They think about 20 years from now, and that is how they can afford their indulgences. They are calculated risks designed to mitigate losses or even stimulate a profit. People who just go out and buy a new Aventador aren't truly wealthy. Their money is as temporal as the prominence of their automobile. Give it 20 years, and people will forget about them just as easily as they forgot about the car.
I think Tiff dind't catch the spirit of this car. It's not a Ferrari, it's a Lamborghini.
I want Top Gear back ...
You can see Richard Hammond testing the same car! You will see him pushing the pedal to the metal for 5 seconds, screaming like a little girl and the rest of the time coasting it around like it’s a fuckin’ Miata. 🤣
I have this car but i rarely use it, Using it only when i go to my friends house which is 20 meters away from us
Lol
Maybe he should learn how to pronounce Lamborghini first
Time to try the Aventador SV, Tiff.
fifth gear is now better than top gear because of jeremy clarksons flute playing skills
nice car :)
i love this car and i fucking don't care wether this guy likes aventador or not
i have a lamborghini aventedor and a lamborghini huracan and a bugatti veyron gold all those costed 9,38 million
The dream car of me the lamborghini aventator, huracan. But the veneo is most costly
I'm not entirely sold on this car's looks. And for me, that matters A LOT. And when the car is a Lamborghini, it matters even more. I could live with stiff suspension or dodgy gear changes. I think Lambo lost it's soul when the Murcielago died with the SV.
It looks amazing in person seen this white coupe, orange and a yellow roadster, I know the murcielago was the last Raw lamborghini, every car companies are moving with the time, the engines are getting turbos and getting smaller, moving away from the noise, but lamborghini will always stay with the naturally aspirated v 12 with their flagship models so that's a massive plus
I consider it one of the best looking super cars, but that's my opinion.
+BlackWind i seriously doubt there are bad gear changes in this car...most likely the poor driver operation,,,
MrJay7777 Oh no, you get me wrong. I'm saying that I 'can' live with dodgy gear changes (as mentioned in the video but its hardly a problem) but what I cannot live with are bad looks.
And I am in no way saying the Aventador looks bad, No no. I just think it doesn't have the grace of previous Lamborghinis.
ohhhh , my apologies ..I could live with any of the bulls :)
Hahaha. The SV gives the 918 a run for its money.
Lamborghini, Comfortable, A hypercar. Ha Spare me Lamborghini is about drama and theatre
Centenario is a reskinned Aventador, which is just a supercar.
vaneno next!
i understand the criticism but just saying, tiff's history has been against Lamborghini and that's no surprise when they allowed almost any auto show except tiff to drive one not untill many months after release, sad fact but true
lamborghini is for people who can't drive - chriss harris
NeATaNDtURdy And he is 100% correct, not bought by people who care about cars, just about showing off, the people who rent houses just to own one because they couldn't afford to get one with a nice house.
EA - Enormous Assholes the only lambo owners who like cars or work on them usually have either classic lambos or twin turbo gallardos
absolutely. The preservation of Ferrucio Lamborghini's ideals is down to a token few who have either made the car their own, or preserve one of the last remaining Lamborghini's (pre-1998)
I am taken aback, mongrel. The SV was never intended for the track. The SVJ has always been the track-designated Lamborghini. The SV was only ever intended to be a faster, higher horsepower variant of the road car with matching improvements to the chassis, aerodynamics, and brakes.
Also, the Sesto Elemento is about as good of a track car as I am a ballerina. Too much understeer due to an antiquated, slow-reacting, cumbersome AWD system. It has the horsepower and light-weight boxes checked. It's let down by the weight, oh, and unlike a 599 from the same year model, NO MANUAL TRANSMISSION.
lapamful if you want to be a smarty pants i'll remind you that it's the aventador sv that set that record lol
This man is quite funny ..lol
I wish the Lamborghini aventador was the words fastest car
Tiff likes the 458 italia a lot more then the aventador
Because that's better and is a driver's car than this poser vehicle.
Saab 95 at 1:27. ;)
while others cars are turbo, nitro or supercharged to be fast, lambos are fast, aspirated lol....sometimes better !
They didn't build a long distance cruiser? Uh, yep, that's definitely not what they were building.
yeah but they made a car that's shit on a track too. he means its not good at much
It's doesn't handle well for a supercar as well! It's just too heavy.
Like this video
Top Gear is better than fifth gear
Just a big Audi!
stupid review, if you want a fast, comfortable car, get yourself a Mercedes SRS or a fiat panda. Lambo's dont care how fast your gear changes are or how fast it can go around a corner, it should just look good.
He just ruined all my thoughts about my favourite car aventador,, is it true guys? or its just the old man knows no shit about cars.
Look him up. The Aventador is just a poser car, there's a saying - never meet your heroes!
Tiff, you old fart! You wouldn't know what a Lamborghini is even if you drove one........wait a sec....you just did.....
That's bcus he's a anti Lambo dick!
Who gives a shit about a Lamborghini, why not review normal cars?
Because that not as fun.
36thgallardo who gives a shit about normal cars? they're normal. they don't need reviewing.
No one cares about normal cars. If you're not a car guy, why are you even here?
You fool, you don't know them that's why
They do, its called their team Review
