This is not an extraordinary evidence for the moon splitting, its barely even circumstantial. Now i know to get hard evidence from something that was meant to happen approx 1400 years is going to be difficult but what you have offered is so weak. You cannot use the book that makes the claim as evidence because is self serving, to use companions of mohammed is also easily dismissed. The moon can be seen in the daytime is just not as visible but at times you can clearly see during daytime. What saturns moon has to do with this claim is irevelent and also meteors hitting our moon again irevelent. You try to the actual subject. This event, if it happened would be seen by millions of people, can you imagine the reaction and impact the moon clearly split in two would have. Possibly over a third of the earth surface would have been able to see and yet a king in india is the best you've got. If this was examined in a court of law. @@robd2259 Rob D; a few things to note; firstly, whenever the 'sagan standard' is trotted out, you can usually be pretty confident the person saying it will never be satisfied. Its a really good indicator to judge whether a person is genuine or not. Regarding the splitting of the moon, the event was seen by many people, Muslims and non Muslims alike and recorded by many, including some thousands of miles away. You cannot just wave your hands and dismiss these and you have done. Prove to us that these people are liars just as you would have to in a court of law (to use your analogy) Furthermore, your claims about the evidence not standing up in a court of law are a bit disingenuous to say the least since the one thing that holds more weight than anything else in a court of law is witness testimony. By using the sagan standard and the court or law, it leads to an interesting situation, namely that a court of law only accepts 'extradinary evidence'. This is patently not true since; 1. These same courts of law have convicted or acquitted people for far, far less evidence. We can easily show multiple examples here 2. These same courts of law have their roots in the Mosaic Law - what extraordinary evidence was produced to allow this to happen? 3. These same courts of law allow thousands of people each day to swear on the bible as a means of getting to the truth - what extraordinary evidence is there for this? You may want to look into the standards used by islamic scholars when it comes to accepting the testimony of witnesses regarding events at the time of the Prophet PBUH. You will not come across a more stringent criteria.

And Allah says a hundred times in the Qur'an that only he knows the time of when the hour will draw near. Noone else on heaven and earth knows it. You and Ibn Katheer think because the verb is in the past tense, it has already happened. How easily you are misled by the devil! How many times does the Qur'an use the past tense about something not referring to the past from our perspective?

A few days later, he saw something strange in a dream, and some priests believed that his vision was a sign of the mission of a prophet. After a while, he met with Arab merchants passing by in the port of Mesres-Kedangalur, and he mentioned to them the incident of the splitting of the moon, so they told him that this really happened in Mecca, and it is a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, so the matter stirred him and decided to travel to get to know him. The king left his son as a caliph in his place, and traveled to the Hijaz, where he met the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, welcomed him and honored him, and explained Islam to him after he told him what he saw, so he converted directly to him and those with him, and was named Abu Bakr Taj al-Din. And it came in the hadith on the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, who said: “The King of India gave the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, a jar containing ginger, and he fed his companions a piece by piece, and he fed me a piece of it.” (Narrated by al-Hakim in his Mustadrak). And when the king wanted to return to his country, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent with him the great companion Malik bin Dinar, may God be pleased with him, and fourteen of his companions, may God be pleased with them. On the way back, the king was exposed to a severe illness, so they stopped in the city of Dhofar for his treatment, but the disease increased, so he recommended his family in Malabar with a written message to enter Islam, and to help Malik bin Dinar and his companions in spreading the call of Islam in the country, then he died, may God have mercy on him, and was buried there. His grave is still located in Dhofar, and a mosque was built next to it. Malik bin Dinar and his companions began to call them in those countries, and they built a mosque to be the first mosque built in India, and Islam spread quickly in that city when people saw the goodness of this religion and the noble morals of the preachers. Because of the beauty of this city, its good air, and many good things, the Arab merchants called it “Khair Allah”, which the Indians pronounce in their foreign language, “Kerala”. Mosques were built in Kerala, the most famous of which is the Malik bin Dinar Mosque in Kasarkud, which was built near his grave. Forensic science spread in it, and many scholars came to it from Yemen, and they had great acceptance, so they appointed judges and presidents, and people in Malabar followed their Shafi’i school, as most Muslims in India follow the Hanafi school. We can extract from this incident the following: 1- The effect of miracles is transcendent. 2- The first ambassador in Islam is the great companion Malik bin Dinar, may God be pleased with him, before the companion Musab bin Omair, may God be pleased with him. 3- Islam entered India very early, peacefully, during the era of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and King Sherman and his companions had the honor of meeting and accompanying him. And that before entering Al-Muhallab bin Abi Safra, an invader from the north. India currently contains about 200 million Muslims, and had it not been for the division of British colonialism into 5 countries (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir, and Nepal), the number of Muslims in the Indian subcontinent would have exceeded to 600 million Muslims, knowing that they were ruling India all those years, coexisting With Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in all safety and harmony. Thus, Islam spread smoothly among people, spreading between hearts and conscience, occupying the largest area in the world in terms of faith and blessing, and we ask God to reconcile hearts. And here they are spreading all over the world, working hard and diligently, and their countries have topped the smart, electronic, traditional, food, pharmaceutical, atomic and nuclear industries, to be the next global economy after China.

This is a portent of the Day of Resurrection, so it hasn't happened. However, the quran DOES say that Muhammed was unable to perform miracles - he was only a warner. So how could he have split the moon unless allah lied in the quran? "They say, 'Why has a sign (ayatun) not been sent down upon him from his Lord?' Say: 'The Unseen belongs only to God. Then watch and wait; I shall be with you watching and waiting.' S. 10:20 "The unbelievers say, 'Why has a sign (ayatun) not been sent down upon him from his Lord?' Thou art ONLY a warner, and a guide to every people." S. 13:7 And remember - the hadith that this fake "miracle by Muhammed" is in was written hundreds of years AFTER Muhammed died by men who never met him! Muslims realized Muhammed was vastly inferior to Jesus Christ (who actually COULD perform miracles and was sinless), so they composed these stories in the hadith to try to elevate the status of Muhammed. Assalamualaikum Sheikh. When I first heard about the Lobate Scarp of the Moon I was quite amazed. This is something that is not being discussed much since it's discovery. The most amazing thing about the Lobate Scarp or scars of the Moon, is that it is considered relatively young as there are craters split by these scars in the middle. However, I also notice that when they put forward the Moon formation theory which is from debris that came together and became the Moon, it also suggested that Moon did not have a molten core like Earth. And if Moon has a molten core, Moon would be rotating on it's axis and will have high gravity like Earth, but this is not the case. And in recent findings, they found out that the Moon is actually hollow, like a bell. And if this theory is true, thus it's possible that the Lobate Scarp were not caused by any movement of tectonic plates, and it's possible that it's caused by the split of the Moon. And when the Western side of Earth complaint that they didn't witness the Moon splitting thus it didn't happened, it only means that at the time of the Moon splitting, it was during night time in Middle East/Northern Asia, but day time or morning/evening time in other part of the world, like you mentioned here 22:28 Honestly, I was happy that I got to live in the time when we actually have scientific evidence of this Moon splitting miracle by our beloved Prophet peace be upon him. 20 years ago, this findings didn't yet existed 💕

The Moon would have been a full (or close to full) moon, full moons rise a bit late. So assuming around 8pm in Arabia, it will be close to 10-10:30 pm in India. Highly unlikely that people will be awake anywhere further east like malaysia indo Japan etc!! few night owls who might have witnessed must have been declared drunk or mentally unstable XD

Even if that's the case, it's still 10:30 pm 1400 yrs ago, not 10:30 pm of today without any electricity and most of them unlike today would go to bed early in the evening. Even today in rural places of India people go to bed as early as 7-7:30 pm . And the reason he saw the splitting moon would be because he was on boat/ship during the event (according to a version of story) then it's possible because they had to be awake for navigation.

and Im sure, not everyone wud have written this event but instead just appreciated the view. More so, since there wasnt any social media back in the day where people can tweet and snap a picture of the Moon splitting. Like now, we ourselves rarely look at the Moon. We the common man. We might look at it once in a while (esp when there's an eclipse or smth of that sort), but again people might miss out on this. This might also explain as to why there weren't millions of people documenting this event.

Imagine if you were not aware of this story and I told you that in Hindu/Buddhist/Zorostrian Mythology there is a story that goes like this and in the story the moon was split. You would laugh and mock them. But here we are, you are praising it because you think it really happened. No current scientific evidence reports that the Moon was split into two (or more) parts and then reassembled at any point in the past.
On ancient relic sites there are reliefs showing that the moon was once split. And when tested for carbon, it is estimated that the relief was made around 14 centuries ago. So scientifically there is various evidence, archaeologically as well as in fact with photographs. So there is agreement in historical and scientific records.
Did he travel back in time to do this video. He looks a bit younger. Anyway didn't know the splitting of the moon had so much evidence. Alhamdulillah shared with some friends.

Alhamdulillah. I am a descendant of King Cheraman Perumal in Kerala who witnessed the moon splitting and travelled to Arabia to visit our Prophet SAW, and died in Salalah, Oman after giving instructions to his returning entourage to convert our palace temple into a masjid, which stands to this day in renovated form in our town of Kodungallur.
Allahumma barik, this is so incredibly well explained and reminds me so much of that one chapter in Daniel Haqiqatjou's book about scientism. It's this sentiment of "Why would we accept to take science at face value?" when in fact it itself does not request that and our tradition of transmitting knowledge is truly one of a kind, by far superior and does not even come close to any other science. If it didn't happen, the Quraish would have called him a liar and a fake. The fact that they claimed it was magic tells you that it did happen
This is not an extraordinary evidence for the moon splitting, its barely even circumstantial. Now i know to get hard evidence from something that was meant to happen approx 1400 years is going to be difficult but what you have offered is so weak. You cannot use the book that makes the claim as evidence because is self serving, to use companions of mohammed is also easily dismissed. The moon can be seen in the daytime is just not as visible but at times you can clearly see during daytime. What saturns moon has to do with this claim is irevelent and also meteors hitting our moon again irevelent. You try to the actual subject. This event, if it happened would be seen by millions of people, can you imagine the reaction and impact the moon clearly split in two would have. Possibly over a third of the earth surface would have been able to see and yet a king in india is the best you've got. If this was examined in a court of law. You have not proved anything other there is no independent evidence. Email nasa top people and ask directly did this event happen, they will say no. @@robd2259 Rob D; a few things to note; firstly, whenever the 'sagan standard' is trotted out, you can usually be pretty confident the person saying it will never be satisfied. Its a really good indicator to judge whether a person is genuine or not.
Regarding the splitting of the moon,
the event was seen by many people, Muslims and non Muslims alike and recorded by many, including some thousands of miles away. You cannot just wave your hands and dismiss these and you have done. Prove to us that these people are liars just as you would have to in a court of law (to use your analogy)
Furthermore, your claims about the evidence not standing up in a court of law are a bit disingenuous to say the least since the one thing that holds more weight than anything else in a court of law is witness testimony.
By using the sagan standard and the court or law, it leads to an interesting situation, namely that a court of law only accepts 'extradinary evidence'. This is patently not true since;
1. These same courts of law have convicted or acquitted people for far, far less evidence. We can easily show multiple examples here
2. These same courts of law have their roots in the Mosaic Law - what extraordinary evidence was produced to allow this to happen?
3. These same courts of law allow thousands of people each day to swear on the bible as a means of getting to the truth - what extraordinary evidence is there for this?
You may want to look into the standards used by islamic scholars when it comes to accepting the testimony of witnesses regarding events at the time of the Prophet PBUH. You will not come across a more stringent criteria.

This video shows one important thing: That you and Ibn Katheer have no true understanding of the Qur'an.
The splitting of the moon is a sign of the day of judgment and it will happen when the hour draws near. And the moon will even join with the sun. And Allah says a hundred times in the Qur'an that only he knows the time of when the hour will draw near. Noone else on heaven and earth knows it.
You and Ibn Katheer think because the verb is in the past tense, it has already happened. How easily you are misled by the devil! How many times does the Qur'an use the past tense about something not referring to the past from our perspective?

Prophet Muhammad performed no miracles at all unlike Jesus. And the splitting of the moon is a prophesy from Allah. It's something that will happen when the hour is near. Like the sun rising in the west or whatever.
I am from kerala and we have the true tradition of the ruler from kerala witnessed it and travelled to makkah to reach the prophet as he was told about it . On his return from Makkah he passed away in Salalah Oman (which by miracle of Allah witness the same beuty of kerala during the khareef season) ipersonally witnessed the grave of cheraman perumal in salalah
The king of Malabar,Kerala (the lower left of the Indian continent) “Cheraman Perumal” saw the splitting of the moon and was astonished, so he inquired of the priests about it, and they did not know, but it is undoubtedly a great thing. A few days later, he saw something strange in a dream, and some priests believed that his vision was a sign of the mission of a prophet.
After a while, he met with Arab merchants passing by in the port of Mesres-Kedangalur, and he mentioned to them the incident of the splitting of the moon, so they told him that this really happened in Mecca, and it is a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, so the matter stirred him and decided to travel to get to know him.
The king left his son as a caliph in his place, and traveled to the Hijaz, where he met the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, welcomed him and honored him, and explained Islam to him after he told him what he saw, so he converted directly to him and those with him, and was named Abu Bakr Taj al-Din. And it came in the hadith on the authority of Abu Saeed al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, who said: “The King of India gave the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, a jar containing ginger, and he fed his companions a piece by piece, and he fed me a piece of it.” (Narrated by al-Hakim in his Mustadrak).
And when the king wanted to return to his country, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent with him the great companion Malik bin Dinar, may God be pleased with him, and fourteen of his companions, may God be pleased with them.
On the way back, the king was exposed to a severe illness, so they stopped in the city of Dhofar for his treatment, but the disease increased, so he recommended his family in Malabar with a written message to enter Islam, and to help Malik bin Dinar and his companions in spreading the call of Islam in the country, then he died, may God have mercy on him, and was buried there. His grave is still located in Dhofar, and a mosque was built next to it.
Malik bin Dinar and his companions began to call them in those countries, and they built a mosque to be the first mosque built in India, and Islam spread quickly in that city when people saw the goodness of this religion and the noble morals of the preachers.
Because of the beauty of this city, its good air, and many good things, the Arab merchants called it “Khair Allah”, which the Indians pronounce in their foreign language, “Kerala”.
Mosques were built in Kerala, the most famous of which is the Malik bin Dinar Mosque in Kasarkud, which was built near his grave. Forensic science spread in it, and many scholars came to it from Yemen, and they had great acceptance, so they appointed judges and presidents, and people in Malabar followed their Shafi’i school, as most Muslims in India follow the Hanafi school.
We can extract from this incident the following:
1- The effect of miracles is transcendent.
2- The first ambassador in Islam is the great companion Malik bin Dinar, may God be pleased with him, before the companion Musab bin Omair, may God be pleased with him.
3- Islam entered India very early, peacefully, during the era of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and King Sherman and his companions had the honor of meeting and accompanying him. And that before entering Al-Muhallab bin Abi Safra, an invader from the north.
India currently contains about 200 million Muslims, and had it not been for the division of British colonialism into 5 countries (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir, and Nepal), the number of Muslims in the Indian subcontinent would have exceeded to 600 million Muslims, knowing that they were ruling India all those years, coexisting With Hindus, Sikhs and Christians in all safety and harmony.
Thus, Islam spread smoothly among people, spreading between hearts and conscience, occupying the largest area in the world in terms of faith and blessing, and we ask God to reconcile hearts. Luisito, where does the quran say Muhammed split the moon? Read it. It doesn't. (54:1) "The Hour of Resurrection drew near and the moon split asunder." This is a portent of the Day of Resurrection, so it hasn't happened.
However, the quran DOES say that Muhammed was unable to perform miracles - he was only a warner. So how could he have split the moon unless allah lied in the quran?
"They say, 'Why has a sign (ayatun) not been sent down upon him from his Lord?' Say: 'The Unseen belongs only to God. Then watch and wait; I shall be with you watching and waiting.' S. 10:20
"The unbelievers say, 'Why has a sign (ayatun) not been sent down upon him from his Lord?' Thou art ONLY a warner, and a guide to every people." S. 13:7
And remember - the hadith that this fake "miracle by Muhammed" is in was written hundreds of years AFTER Muhammed died by men who never met him! Muslims realized Muhammed was vastly inferior to Jesus Christ (who actually COULD perform miracles and was sinless), so they composed these stories in the hadith to try to elevate the status of Muhammed.

Assalamualaikum Sheikh.
When I first heard about the Lobate Scarp of the Moon I was quite amazed. This is something that is not being discussed much since it's discovery. The most amazing thing about the Lobate Scarp or scars of the Moon, is that it is considered relatively young as there are craters split by these scars in the middle.
However, I also notice that when they put forward the Moon formation theory which is from debris that came together and became the Moon, it also suggested that Moon did not have a molten core like Earth. And if Moon has a molten core, Moon would be rotating on it's axis and will have high gravity like Earth, but this is not the case. And in recent findings, they found out that the Moon is actually hollow, like a bell. And if this theory is true, thus it's possible that the Lobate Scarp were not caused by any movement of tectonic plates, and it's possible that it's caused by the split of the Moon.
And when the Western side of Earth complaint that they didn't witness the Moon splitting thus it didn't happened, it only means that at the time of the Moon splitting, it was during night time in Middle East/Northern Asia, but day time or morning/evening time in other part of the world, like you mentioned here 22:28
Honestly, I was happy that I got to live in the time when we actually have scientific evidence of this Moon splitting miracle by our beloved Prophet peace be upon him. 20 years ago, this findings didn't yet existed 💕

The Moon would have been a full (or close to full) moon, full moons rise a bit late. So assuming around 8pm in Arabia, it will be close to 10-10:30 pm in India. Highly unlikely that people will be awake anywhere further east like malaysia indo Japan etc!! few night owls who might have witnessed must have been declared drunk or mentally unstable XD

In towns and cities with rulers, normally would have watchmen on guard. Assuming they were paying attention they may have witnessed it.
Even if that's the case, it's still 10:30 pm 1400 yrs ago, not 10:30 pm of today without any electricity and most of them unlike today would go to bed early in the evening. Even today in rural places of India people go to bed as early as 7-7:30 pm . And the reason he saw the splitting moon would be because he was on boat/ship during the event (according to a version of story) then it's possible because they had to be awake for navigation.

and Im sure, not everyone wud have written this event but instead just appreciated the view. More so, since there wasnt any social media back in the day where people can tweet and snap a picture of the Moon splitting.
Like now, we ourselves rarely look at the Moon. We the common man. We might look at it once in a while (esp when there's an eclipse or smth of that sort), but again people might miss out on this. This might also explain as to why there weren't millions of people documenting this event.
But why Allah wont do it now if he wants us (all of humanity) to believe in him, because now we have telescopes and cameras all over the world, and everyone has a smartphone in his pocket, don't you think everyone including scientists would believe and praise him and it will be recorded for future generations leaving no doubts ?

I'm a Muslim convert but I've learnt some things here I didn't know and I honestly didn't know the story of the king from modern day Kerala went that deep and had that much evidence! SubhanAllah! 1. Your steadfastness in clarifying the difference between peoples / governments corruption and Islams purity.
2. Your use of evidence and the thoroughness of said evidence: clearly effort has gone into each piece presented, and the variety includes muslims AND non muslims which adds credibility to your accounts.
3. You dont use emotion as a means of justification, which makes a lot of sense since non-muslims dont feel what we feel towards our religion. Objectivity is key.
4. Communication: you are very clear and succinct in making your points. Its not about you vs me, this is the evidence - go read.

Imagine if you were not aware of this story and I told you that in Hindu/Buddhist/Zorostrian Mythology there is a story that goes like this and in the story the moon was split. You would laugh and mock them. But here we are, you are praising it because you think it really happened.
No current scientific evidence reports that the Moon was split into two (or more) parts and then reassembled at any point in the past.
On ancient relic sites there are reliefs showing that the moon was once split. And when tested for carbon, it is estimated that the relief was made around 14 centuries ago. So scientifically there is various evidence, archaeologically as well as in fact with photographs. So there is agreement in historical and scientific records.

Alhamdulillah. I am a descendant of King Cheraman Perumal in Kerala who witnessed the moon splitting and travelled to Arabia to visit our Prophet SAW, and died in Salalah, Oman after giving instructions to his returning entourage to convert our palace temple into a masjid, which stands to this day in renovated form in our town of Kodungallur.
Allahumma barik, this is so incredibly well explained and reminds me so much of that one chapter in Daniel Haqiqatjou's book about scientism. It's this sentiment of "Why would we accept to take science at face value?" when in fact it itself does not request that and our tradition of transmitting knowledge is truly one of a kind, by far superior and does not even come close to any other science. If people would only think critically without any bias and be open for logic and rationality... but they are too distracted by all these modern day fitan which feeds them their superiority complex, individualism and the YOLO attitude. May Allah guide us all
