With the refreshed XUV300 we can now rightly claim to offering one of the most comprehensive vehicle packages in the compact SUV segment. Not only is the XUV300 a dynamic and rewarding drive, but it offers a level of comfort and luxury not common in this segment and, of course, it is South Africa’s safest vehicle.
The XUV300 will continue to offer both a petrol and diesel option, except in the entry-level W4 that will only be available with a petrol engine.
The turbo-petrol engine is Mahindra’s own three-cylinder 1.2 litre engine, which delivers 81 kW at 5 000 r/min and a healthy 200 Nm of torque between 2 000 r/min and 3 500 r/min.
The diesel engine is a brand-new four-cylinder 1.5 litre turbo-diesel engine that delivers 85.8 kW at 3 750 r/min and 300 Nm in a flat band between 1 500 r/min and 2 500 r/min.
Both engine options deliver some of the best torque figures in their class and both are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox that drives the front wheels.

there is no automatic transmission in xuv300 you should look for newly launched xuv700 ax5 varient better than hyundai in terms of safety featurs and power

Absolutely pathetic review of this amazing vehicle!! I drive this specific model daily, on and off site as a construction manager. Let me tell you this is a amazing car and every Rand worth. Please hire someone much more educated on ALL the vehicle specs for the next review...especially what the W8 stands for😂
Oh yes...just a mental note. This is actually THE SAFEST vehicle on the road!
