Yes, so what's happening is called an uneven 4-bar. Basically, when the number of holes between your two bars on one side of your 4-bar isn't the same as on the other side, you get what's called an uneven 4-bar. Linq from the instructions does have one of these (intentionally). This modified "Super Linq" does want to have an uneven 4-bar also, just built a little differently. Look closely at the video at the attachment points of where the 4-bar is attached to the robot and the claw, and see what holes they are in. Play around with it and see what changing the holes does to the angle and tilt of the basket at it raises. See if you can find something that works. Good luck!
@@Joseph973 Thanks so much! Also, the other thing is our arm will not reach high enough for the basket . I don’t know why that is happening. Again thanks for the help and sorry for the bother
Jokes aside your robot is actually really cool and the homebuilt vex arena is nice, also love the contraption you used that brings the items in real quick. Idk if it's similar to a flywheel or not but it's impressive.
It's really simple, and all with leftover parts from Linq in the Gen 1 kit. It's two short 2x beams and two shafts with gears on them. Then you put shaft collars on and put on the rubber bands and motor. That's pretty much it. Try it out and see what you can figure out.
Hi Josph, can you please help me to understand how did you score 71 points? I am new to this. * 1st goal, 6 blocks in - 16 points. * 2nd & 3rd goal, 5 blocks in - 15 points each x 2. * 3 reds are off the starting peg - 15 points. * Height bonus - 10 points. * Partial park - 5 points. I got 76 points. Am I correct?
Hi, me and my team will join the tournament first time and we decided to do ur amazing bot, but we couldn't find a piece in building instructions on our set(pitch shaft 2 inch) what should we do or which piece can we use? Thanks for the video and instructions
That's because I'm Ben Lipper's brother. Brothers sometimes look somewhat alike. As you can see though, I'm a few years younger than him. If you're still not sure, email Ben and ask him who drives the robots in the videos. Also, on his website he credits me for driving the robots.
The last video I watched, I checked the comments and one of them said “ Are you Ben Lippers brother?” He said “ Yea”, im pretty sure they are brothers, idk tho
Thank you so much. This video helps me figure out what I was doing wrong with my Linq robot. Tysm!!!
beautifully built. the execution looks like a marvel of future engineering.
Hey I have a question so our robots arm won’t go high enough, and the box that holds them allways tilts down do you have any clue y

Great! Thanks for the idea

Thanks, it's not very similar to a flywheel, but I guess the concept is kind of similar. Thanks for the comment :)
How did you modify the 4 bar?
It's still an uneven 4-bar, but we changed the holes a little bit. Look at some of the close up shots in the video
How do you build the "Flywheel"

My axle kept coming loose from my motor on my spinner and the platform's over weight

Yes, I think you are correct. I made a mistake on that. I didn't count the partial park when I counted the points. Thank you for pointing that out!
WOWWW FIRE VID BRO 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Your face, I'm happy!
Lol now you can see all the funny faces I make while I'm driving
Can it empty the supply zone?
What do you think?

Thanks for the video and instructions
I'm not quite sure what piece you're talking about, but if I were to guess, you could probably just use a longer shaft and it would work jut fine.
We solved ,it thank u so much for your suport.
Amazing robot! The only problem is when I tried to build it it was a little heavy and didn't "pick up" as fast as it does in the video, any tips?
Try putting some anti-tips on the front to keep it from tipping forward
So cool
It is very cool that you made a robot with only using gen 1 parts
cool
the driver looks like Ben Lipper

oh ok
You literally copied ben lipper exactly

They are brothers
