Love that brick wall as a background. Florida here to tell you about my passionflower. The fritillary caterpillars chewed every leave! No worry now have butterflies and the leaves are growing back. It's also an invasive vine & pops up all over the yard. But mainly grows over the fence. The fruit is also edible.
Greetings Mark from the US. I live in Frankfort, Kentucky. That is US hardy zone 6B. We have a native hardy passionflower called, "Passiflora incarnata" in my area. I see it sometimes growing in the wild. It can be a little aggressive. Some people call this vine, "Maypop". The blooms are very exotic and beautiful. Magnificent! I have 2 incarnata the frittiliary butterfly caterpillar eats them to the stem . I do see a flower here and there but the catatapillars love the buds and tender shots so right now 2 paultry vines with no leaves. The maximum frittiliarys I have had is 6 and they lay an egg every time they land. I have gone to nursery to replace and more come😂. I have learned my lesson now! Thank you for the smiles. Hi mark! Just a quick question is there a reason why we would be getting mainly fruit and no flowers? Some years ours have been spectacular but this year just all fruit 😢
It will open if it is light, it doesn't have to be direct. Mine was early morning so it was coming out of complete darkness. Mine also opens on cloudy days too 😊 so I think yours will also

I honestly don't know. My friend has a passion fruit plant and even the leaves look different. Not sure why yours has changed this year.

Presumably your plant is Passiflora caerulea. (Sorry if you told us and I missed it).
